Definitions

  • the invention relates to a finger protector, which is formed in two parts and in particular in sports gloves, especially in
  • Goalkeeper gloves is applied.
  • finger protectors of this type are to ensure improved protection of the individual fingers. You will find in goalkeeper gloves, motorcycle gloves, carving gloves,. Work gloves or the like application, whereby in addition to the protective effect for the assigned finger, they should at the same time not impair the natural function of the individual finger.
  • a goalkeeper's glove it can be seen that there is a particular danger for the individual finger, in particular if a sharply shot ball hits the extended finger in a line with the longitudinal extension of a finger.
  • Another source of danger is external influences, for example, when hitting a goal post or from opponents, who could step on the goalkeeper's hand with their studs. Significant injuries can occur here.
  • finger protectors of this type has become known in practice, in which it is formed in two parts.
  • the finger protector here has an outer part with an elongated, raised central part and laterally projecting flat edges or belt straps.
  • Spaced transverse slots are formed in the middle part, into which spreading webs of an inner part engage, which is arranged within the raised middle part of the outer part.
  • the expansion bars of the inner part are here on both sides by tension bars connected with each other. This construction results in a pre-curvature in an assembled position since the spreading webs push the edges of the transverse slots apart.
  • the spreader bars come under pressure, this pressure being transmitted from the edges of the transverse slots.
  • the tensile reaction forces that occur are absorbed by the belt straps on the outer part and the tension webs on the inner part.
  • the belt straps are usually flat so that they do not provide additional resistance to bending of the base part, but instead are bent into their plane in such a bend, for example to close a fist.
  • a disadvantage of these known finger protectors is the complex manufacturing method. So the inner and outer parts are formed separately from each other in different molds, with each finger length i.e. outside part length a separate tool is required.
  • the outer part has an end piece at each end, while the inner part consists only of the two tie bars and the transverse spreading bars connecting them.
  • These inner parts are therefore injection molded so that several injection channels on at least one long side, i.e. a web, attack and insert the injection molding material into the mold.
  • this has the disadvantage that the injection-molded material encounters one another within the workpiece, so that weak points can result from the material not being optimally connected at this point.
  • the filigree inner parts can therefore only be produced with considerable effort.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a finger protector which can be produced with simplified effort.
  • a simplified method for producing this finger protector is also to be created.
  • Claim 1 and solved by a method with the features of claim 6.
  • the invention is based on the new idea of advantageously designing the two components of the finger protector, namely the inner part and the outer part, in such a way that they can be injection molded in a simpler manner and in a single tool.
  • an end piece is provided on each of these parts, in contrast to the prior art, in which both end pieces were arranged on the outer part.
  • the main advantage of this is that both parts can first be made to the maximum intended length, and then can be easily shortened to the desired length in view of the associated finger. Both parts therefore no longer have to be manufactured in a separate tool exactly according to the respective finger length.
  • two outer and two inner parts can be produced in one mold, in which case one outer and one inner part can be placed directly adjacent to one another on one side of the centrally arranged sprue in parallel to one another.
  • These two mutually associated parts of the finger protector according to the invention can then be cut to length with one cut, so that both the inner part and the outer part are thus brought to the desired length in one step.
  • the finger protector according to the invention can thus be manufactured very efficiently and inexpensively.
  • the outer side edges of the belt straps and / or the tie bars are rounded, which on the one hand improves the material flow during the injection molding process and on the other hand increases the reliability of these parts, particularly with regard to their breaking strength. Furthermore, tensions can be better absorbed, and fatigue at this point can also be avoided better.
  • the inventive method according to claim 6 is characterized in particular by its small number of procedural steps to achieve a fully assembled finger protector. All that is required here is the provision of a single mold, by means of which finger protectors of any desired length can be produced.
