Abstract

The device comprises a flexible guide member (15) guided or tensioned on the casement of a window or door so that two parallel sections are opposite one another. The guide member comprises a chain guided about an axis running perpendicular to a inverted rail (4) whereby the chain is in front of the rail and the followers (11, 12) which are coupled to the guide member engage through the inverted rail in an oblong hole (13). The chain is guided in an oval groove (17) of a housing (16) in which the parallel sections and guides are provided. The followers are substantially L-shaped.
