Abstract

The procedure involves bringing a screened cylinder (17) from a loading station (16) to a storing station (14) or a reserve station (11), using a transport carriage (18). The cylinder is loaded on a transport device (13) using a robot (19) to bring the cylinder to a work position (10a). The cylinder is replaced by bringing it to an unloading position from where the cylinder is moved to one of the stations (11, 14, 16). An independent claim is also included for a device for charging and exchanging the cylinders of printing groups of a printing machine.
