Beim grabenlosen Erdbohren zum Ersetzen erdverlegter Leitungen ist es bekannt, die Leitung zu zerstören und in das seitliche Erdreich zu verdrängen oder die Altleitung aus dem Erdreich herauszuziehen. In beiden Fällen wird in dem bestehenden Erdkanal dann eine neue Leitung oder ein neues Rohr eingezogen. In einer Weiterentwicklung dieser bekannten Geräte wird der im Bohrwerkzeug vorgesehene Antrieb durch einen gestängevermittelten Hydraulikantrieb, wie in der DE 195 04 484 C1 beschrieben, ersetzt. Die aus der DE 195 22 579 C1 bekannte Vorrichtung bedient sich eines Überfahrkopfes, der die Altleitung auftrennt, überfährt und das Altrohr mit einem Hüllrohr überzieht. Der konisch ausgebildete Überfahrkopf verdrängt während des Vortriebs das das Altrohr umgebende Erdreich und bildet dadurch einen Hohlraum für das Hüll- bzw. Das Bohrwerkzeug weist stimseitig eine Schneidkante 8 auf, mit der Hindernisse vom Außenmantel der Leitung entfernt werden können.
