Description

The invention relates to an awning with an extension profile to which the awning fabric is fixed, which can be wound up by a roller tube.

An extended awning forms water bags in the rain, that is, the rainwater collects on the awning cloth in cloth troughs. These accumulations of water significantly increase the weight of the extended awning fabric and can exceed the carrying capacity of the extended arms. To prevent this, it is known to provide at several points in the awning openings through which the water can drain. As a result, the room is moistened under the awning.

From the DE 34 08 379 It is known to connect the joints of articulated arms of an awning by horizontal profiles on which rests the cloth and should prevent water pockets as Zwischenpfetten. But at least between the fabric shaft and the first purlin but the cloth is horizontal, so that there is not enough rainwater and water bags can form.

The object of the invention is to improve an awning of the type mentioned so that rainwater can not collect on the awning fabric and water drainage holes in the awning fabric are not required.

This object is achieved in that the awning fabric is raised in the fully or partially extended state by a support structure that raises the awning fabric to a roof shape in particular to a gable roof shape, with at least one front and one back surface, wherein the effluent from the front surface rainwater to the Ausfahrprofil and flowing from the rear surface rainwater flows to the awning holder.

By such a construction, the awning cloth is raised so much at least at one point that it forms inclined surfaces similar to a roof, in particular a pitched roof on which the rainwater runs without being able to collect. The design is simple and does not require any additional user manipulation. With the extension of the awning arms, the awning fabric is automatically raised in the area between the fabric shaft and the extension profile.

Particularly simple and safe working structures of high stability are listed in the subclaims.

The awning has a cloth shaft 1, on which the awning cloth 2 can be wound up as a cloth roll. The front end of the cloth 2 is fixed to an extension profile 3 which is arranged parallel to the cloth shaft 1 and held by extendable awning arms, each consisting of a rear arm (upper arm) 4a and a front arm (lower arm) 4b. The two arms 4a, 4b are hinged together by a first intermediate joint 5 and the upper arm 4a is at its other end to the awning holder articulated and hinged the lower arm 4b with its other end on the extension profile 3. By means of a spring arranged in the awning arm 4 a, 4 b, the awning arm always strives to extend, so that in this way the cloth 2 is always taut.

The basic theory is that the awning fabric between the fabric shaft 1 and the extension profile 3 is raised from below, so that the cloth 2, a roof, in particular a pitched roof with a front surface 2a, from which the rainwater to the Ausfahrprofil 3 flows, and a rear surface 2b from which the rainwater flows to the cloth shaft 1 and the awning holder. In this case, a rain gutter 13 and on the Ausfahrprofil an additional gutter 14 may be attached to the awning holder.

In the exemplary embodiment, the awning cloth is raised by a support structure whose uppermost part is a ridge rod (ridge purlin, ridge profile) 12, which lies under the cloth 2. Here, a variety of constructions can be used for the support structure. Particularly advantageous is the following construction:
  • At the two arms 4a, 4b two coupling members 6a, 6b are articulated. The coupling members 6a, 6b are rods or rods with bilateral joints. Here, the two coupling members 6a, 6b articulated by a second intermediate joint 7 to each other and with their other ends respectively to the arms, that is, the coupling member 6a via a joint 8 on the upper arm 4a and the coupling member 6b via a hinge 9 on the lower arm 4b. Here are the joints 8, 9 each approximately in the middle of the arms 4a and 4b. The coupling member 6a is parallel to the lower arm 4b and the coupling member 6b parallel to the upper arm 4a, so that the coupling members 6a, 6b with the intermediate joint 5 near arm portions of the arms 4a, 4b form a parallelogram.

About this parallelogram, another pair of coupling links 10 rises with a coupling member 10a and a coupling member 10b. The two coupling links 10a, 10b are articulated to each other and to the horizontal ridge rod 12 via a third intermediate joint 11. The lower ends of the coupling links 10a, 10b are articulated to the intermediate joints 5 and 7, so that in the extended state, the coupling member pair 10 is located in a vertical plane passing through the intermediate joints 5 and 7 and by the ridge rod 12.

In the illustrated embodiment are the arms 4a, 4b and the coupling members 6a, 6b in a horizontal plane and the coupling members 10a, 10b in a vertical plane. But the awning arms can also be arranged inclined, that is, the extension profile 3 can be lower than the canvas shaft 1, so that the plane of the arms 4a, 4b and the coupling members 6a, 6b is inclined. However, the coupling members 6a, 6b are still in the same plane in which the arms 4a, 4b are located. The plane of the coupling links 10a, 10b is then also correspondingly inclined, but then it is still perpendicular to the plane of the arms 4a, 4b.

The construction according to the invention makes use of the fact that when unwinding the cloth and thus extending the arms 4a, 4b, the parallelogram changes in such a way that the first intermediate joint 5 and the second intermediate joint 7 approach each other. As a result, the lower ends of the coupling member pair 10 approach, so that the upper ends of this pair of coupling members and thus the intermediate joint is raised, whereby the ridge rod 12 rises and forms the gable roof shape of the cloth 2. If, on the other hand, the awning has retracted completely, the intermediate joints 5 and 7 form the greatest distance from one another and thus bring the coupling members 10a, 10b into a substantially horizontal position, in which the ridge rod 12 lies at the level of the cloth shaft 1 and the extension profile.

In the illustrated embodiment, a second awning arm 4a, 4b is not shown. Furthermore, the ridge rod 12 may not be particularly curved or bent particularly bent. Also, for smaller awnings, the first pole 12 is missing and the cloth can only be raised point by point.

According to the second embodiment 3 and 4 the ridge rod 12 is attached directly above the joint 5 (= outer joint of the upper arm 4a), the between the upper arm 4a and the lower arm 4b is arranged. Here, the inner joint 15, which is attached to the support structure in particular on the support tube 16, with its axis of rotation 17 is inclined so that the upper arm 4 a with its outer joint 5 lifts up when the arm 4 is extended. This is possible because the axis 17 has such an oblique position that its upper end is closer to the support structure, in particular the support tube 16, than the lower end. Preferably, in this case the axis 17 lies in a vertical plane, ie in a right-angled plane to the fabric shaft or the support tube 16th

When extending the two arms 4 thus the ridge rod 12 is raised horizontally by the two joints 5. Here, by an appropriate arrangement of the axis of the joint 5 of the lower arm 4b of the joint 5 from inclined downwards, so that both arms 4 together with the ridge rod 12 and the Ausfahrprofil 3 form a pitched roof, from which the water forward and backward each running in a gutter at the awning support structure and the extension profile 3. These gutters are in 3 and 4 not shown.

On or in the ridge rod 12, a gas spring system 18 is attached, by which the two joints 5 of both arms 4 are auseinanderdrückbar to extend the two arms 4. For retraction pulls the gas spring system 18, the two joints 5 to each other.

  3. Awning according to claim 2, characterised in that the coupling members (6a, 6b) lie in the plane of the arms (4a, 4b).
  4. Awning according to either claim 2 or claim 3, characterised in that the coupling members (6a, 6b) together with regions of the arms (4a, 4b) form a rectangle, in particular a parallelogram, in particular a rhombus.
  5. Awning according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the coupling members (6a, 6b) are hinged to the arms (4a, 4b) between the hinge points of the arms, in particular in the centre between the hinge points of the arms.
  6. Awning according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that at least one coupling member pair (10) is hinged to the coupling members (6a, 6b) and/or to the intermediate hinges (5, 7) and projects upwards beyond the arms (4a, 4b) when the extendable profile (3) is extended entirely or partially.
  7. Awning according to claim 6, characterised in that the coupling members (10a, 10b) of the coupling member pair (10) are hinged to one another by means of a third upper intermediate hinge (11) and are hinged at their other ends to the first and second intermediate hinges (5, 7).
  8. Awning according to any of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the third intermediate hinge (11) is fixed to the upper ridge pole (12).
  9. Awning according to any of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the coupling members (6a, 6b, 10a, 10b) are hinged rods.
  10. Awning according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that a gutter (14) is attached to the extendable profile (3).
  11. Awning according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that a gutter (14) is fixed to the awning holder and/or to the housing which surrounds the roll of fabric.
