Claims (6)
- A paraffin composition suitable for use as a long-burning candle, characterised in that it comprises:approximately 5 to 25% by weight of methyl ester of at least one fatty acid,a copolymer of the'monoolefin-vinyl ester type, whose content by weight in the paraffin composition is less than 10% and, preferably, less than 7.5%;the remainder up to 100% by weight of the composition consisting of at least one paraffin having a melting point lower than 65°C and, preferably, lower than 58°C and, optionally, additives conventionally used in such compositions.
- A composition according to claim 1, characterised in that the methyl ester of at least one fatty acid is a mixture of rape methyl esters.
- A composition according to the preceding claims, characterised in that the copolymer of the monoolefin-vinyl ester type is an ethylene-vinyl acetate, or EVA, copolymer.
- A composition according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the quantities of additives present in the composition are less than 10% and, preferably, than 5% by weight.
- Use of the paraffin composition according to any one of claims 1 to 4 in a glass jar or other type of container.
- Use according to claim 5, characterised in that the glass jar or other container is cylindrical in shape, with a height of at least 30 cm and a diameter of at least 8.5 cm.
