Abstract

A live tank for transporting shellfish comprising a shellfish recipient which can be filled with water, a filtering system, at least one water circulation pump and water circulation conduits, shaped for pumping the water between the inside of the recipient and the filtering system, in which the circulation conduits comprise a plurality of water inlet and outlet nozzles (4, 21) distributed through the inside of the recipient for causing turbulences favoring the stirring of the water, and in that all the elements composing the live tank are arranged in a compact unit which can be easily transported.
