A lettering field illumination of an electric installation device (1) composed of a switch box (2) with device insert (9) and device cover (12), characterized in that a lettering field (13) with light guide chamber (14), wedge-like light guide (16), lettering film (20) and cover shield (21) extends along a side wall of the device cover (12) and that an illumination unit (4) is mounted in a pocket (3) of the switch box (2) in the corner side whose light source (8) radiates directly into a front-side light-guide inlet surface (17) of the light guide.
  2. A lettering field illumination according to claim 1, characterized in that the light guide chamber (14) comprises a releasable chamber wall (15) which delimits the light guide chamber towards the pocket (3) of the switch box (2) on the corner side.
  3. A lettering field illumination according to claim 1 and/or 2, characterized in that the cover shield (21) is provided with latching hooks (22) for fastening in the light guide chamber (14).
