Abstract

The device has two magazines (M1, M2) with their conveyor planes staggered parallel to one another. Filter rods in the magazines are removed by a removal roller (11). A set of cutting devices (12) are used to cut the filter rods from the removal roller. A staggering drum (15) is structured and arranged to stagger the cut filter rods relative to the conveyor direction. An Independent claim is also included for a process of feeding filter rods from magazines.
