Der Schneideinsatz 10 der Fig. 4 und 5 besitzt einen zum Schneidkopf 8 hin
offenen axialen Zutritt 19. Im übrigen ist der Schneideinsatz 10 mit
Ausnehmungen 20 versehen, die einen zusätzlichen, radialen Zutritt der
Förderflüssigkeit zum Schneidkopf 8 eröffnen. In die Innenwand des
Schneideinsatzes 10 ist eine über die gesamte axiale Erstreckung des
Schneideinsatzes 10 schraubenförmig verlaufende Nut 21 eingearbeitet. Die Nut
21 trägt zu einer Verbesserung der Zerkleinerung und der Förderung von
Beimengungen bei.The cutting
Die Fig. 6 zeigt einen Schneidkopf 22, der in seiner Grundstruktur dem
Schneidkopf 8 entspricht. Der Schneidkopf 22 besitzt aber überdies einen über
den Schneideinsatz 10 vorragenden Zylinder 23, der als Träger von vier Schaufeln
24 fungiert. Die Schaufeln 24 sind im übrigen mit der zur Saugseite der
Kreiselpumpe 2 gerichteten Stirnseite der Stege 16 verbunden. Die Schaufeln 24
besitzen einen zum Außendurchmesser des Schneidkopfes 22 hin abfallenden
Verlauf. Außerdem sind die Schaufeln 24, ebenso wie der Zylinder 23, mit
abgerundeten Kanten versehen. Der Schaufelverlauf und die Abrundung der
Kanten dienen dazu, ein Anhaften von Lappen, zopfartigen Gebilden oder

Die eigentliche Funktion der Schaufeln 24 besteht darin, bei einem - nicht
dargestellten - Behälter mit einer vertikal darin angeordneten Kreiselpumpe eine
Ablagerung von Beimengungen der Förderflüssigkeit am Behälterboden zu
vermeiden. Dies geschieht dadurch, daß die Schaufeln 24 eine Teilströmung
erzeugen, die in Richtung des Behälterbodens wirkt und dort ein Aufwirbeln sich
absetzender Beimengungen verursacht. Die Beimengungen werden dadurch von
der zum Laufrad 5 gerichteten Hauptströmung erfaßt und schließlich der im
wesentlichen durch den Schneidkopf 22 und den Schneideinsatz 10 gebildeten
Zerkleinerungseinrichtung zugeführt, dort zerkleinert und von den Schaufeln 11
des Laufrades 5 in eine - ebenfalls nicht dargestellte - Leitung gefördert.The actual function of the

- Centrifugal pump with a comminuting device, preceding the pump impeller, for fibrous or fragmentary admixtures in the feed fluid, the comminuting device being formed by a cutting head rotating together with the pump impeller and provided with a plurality of cutting edges and by a cutting insert cooperating with the cutting head and arranged in a stationary manner in the casing of the centrifugal pump, characterized in that the cutting head (8, 22) is provided with a plurality of essentially axially running recesses (18) delimited by webs (16), the webs (16) equipped with cutting edges (17) covering the entry edges of the blades (11) of the impeller (5) and having a continuous transition to the contour of the blades (11), whilst the recesses (18) have a continuous transition to the channels (12) of the impeller (5).
- Centrifugal pump according to Claim 1, characterized by a cutting head (22) which is equipped with one or more blades (24) arranged on its suction-side end face.
- Centrifugal pump according to Claim 2, characterized in that the blades (24) of the cutting head run so as to descend towards the outside diameter of the cutting head (22).
- Centrifugal pump according to Claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the blades (24) of the cutting head are connected to a cylinder (23) projecting beyond the cutting insert (10).
- Centrifugal pump according to one of Claims 2 to 4, characterized in that the blades (24) of the cutting head and/or the cylinder (23) are provided with rounded edges.
- Centrifugal pump according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cutting insert (10) is open towards the cutting head (8, 22) for an inflow taking place in the axial direction and possesses recesses (20) for an inflow taking place in the radial direction towards the cutting head (8, 22).
- Centrifugal pump according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cutting head (8, 22) possesses a number of recesses (18) which is different from the number of recesses (20) of the cutting insert (10).
- Centrifugal pump according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cutting edges (17) of the cutting head (8, 22) and/or of the cutting insert (10) run axially parallel.
- Centrifugal pump according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cutting edges (17) of the cutting head (8, 22) and/or of the cutting insert (10) run helically.
- Centrifugal pump according to Claim 9, characterized in that, when the cutting edges (17) of the cutting head (8, 22) and of the cutting insert (10) run helically, the helix vectors of the cutting head (8, 22) and of the cutting insert (10) are directed counter to one another.
- Centrifugal pump according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by an impeller (5) which is designed on the suction side without a co-rotating cover disc and which has an adjustable gap with respect to a cover disc (14) arranged fixedly in the casing (3) of the centrifugal pump (2).
- Centrifugal pump according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cutting insert (10) is connected exchangeably to the cover disc (13) arranged in a stationary manner in the casing (3).
- Centrifugal pump according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cutting head (8, 22) is produced in one piece with the impeller (5).
- Centrifugal pump according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cutting head (8, 22) is produced in one piece with the delivery-side cover disc (13) of the impeller (5).
- Centrifugal pump according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cutting head (8, 22) is connected exchangeably to the delivery-side cover disc (13) of the impeller (5).
- Centrifugal pump according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a rotationally fixed connection of the cutting insert (10) and/or of the cutting head (8, 22) takes place in each case via a pin (7).
- Centrifugal pump according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by a groove (21) in the inner wall of the cutting insert (10), said groove running helically over the entire axial extent of the cutting insert (10).
