Definitions
- the invention relates to a method and associated apparatus for acoustic emission reduction in rotating suction rolls whose interior is divided into a plurality of circumferentially-limited sectors, wherein at least in a vacuum sector, a lower air pressure prevails than in the external environment and in the following direction of rotation sector.
- This refers in particular to suction rolls in which a sealing strip is arranged between the vacuum sector and the following sector.
- This prior art is for example from the EP 1 113 106 A2 known.
- Suction rolls usually consist of a perforated roll shell whose interior is connected at least in a vacuum sector with a vacuum source. In doing so, the vacuum sector must be sealed off from the neighboring areas. In the area of the seals, sound is created by pressure transitions and the associated ventilation of the perforation, whereby this sound emission can be counteracted by a corresponding design of the seal. The effectiveness of this measure, however, decreases with increasing pollution and wear.
- the noise emission is enhanced by the increasingly higher machine speeds, as they are observed in particular in machines for the production and / or finishing of paper, cardboard, tissue or other fibrous webs.
- the object of the invention is therefore a simple and efficient method as well as an associated device for acoustic emission reduction in suction rolls to develop.
- the object was achieved in terms of the method in that the noise emission is measured in the region of the suction roll and when exceeding a predetermined noise emission limit measures for reducing the noise emission are initiated.
- the change of the acoustic emission during operation of the suction roll becomes the gauge for the increasing wear and / or the increasing contamination of at least one, preferably the, sound emission determining elements of the suction roll.
- This is relatively easy to implement and still very reliable.
- the use of at least one microphone is particularly suitable.
- the measurement should be made as close as possible to the source of the acoustic emission.
- the sound emission should preferably be measured in the region of the transition from the vacuum sector to the sector following in the direction of rotation. In this area, it comes to contamination and wear of the sealing device and also for ventilation of the perforation of the suction roll.
- the sound emission measurement should be carried out by at least one microphone arranged outside the suction roll and / or at least one microphone arranged inside the suction roll, preferably in the sector following the vacuum sector.
- the machine control or regulation can also be realized in such a way that a sound-reducing reaction to an exceeding of the predetermined sound emission limit value takes place automatically and relatively quickly.
- this is possible because when the noise emission limit value is exceeded, the position of at least one element of the suction roll causing the increase in the noise emission is changed and / or at least one element of the suction roll causing the increase of the acoustic emission is cleaned.
- the sealing strip As a sealing devices usually axially extending sealing strips are used, in particular, the sealing strip between the vacuum sector and the following in the direction of rotation sector because of the ventilation of the perforation of the suction roll and the associated noise is very critical.
- the sealing strip In order to be able to react to the exceeding of the predetermined acoustic emission limit value, the sealing strip is designed to be controllable or controllable in its position. It is advantageous if the sealing strip is associated with at least one cleaning device, which preferably cleans with water. A cleaning effect can also be achieved by a short-term pivoting in certain sealing devices, since thereby solve dirt from the sealing strip by the rotation of the roll shell.
- the suction roll has a perforated roll shell 13, the interior of which is divided in the circumferential direction into a plurality of sectors 4, 5, wherein a vacuum sector 4 is connected to a vacuum source.
- the sealing of the vacuum sector 4 with respect to the adjacent sector 5 with normal air pressure takes place on both sides via an axially extending sealing strip 2.9.
- the perforation of the roll shell 13 is usually formed by radial, continuous holes in the roll shell 13.
- the suction roll is part of a paper machine for producing a paper, board, tissue or another fibrous web 1, here by way of example a press section for dewatering the fibrous web 1.
- the suction roller supports the transfer of the fibrous web 1 from an endlessly circulating belt 11 to a , the suction roll looping around, endlessly circulating and air-permeable belt 10. This belt 10 then carries the fibrous web 1 to a unit of the paper machine following in the web running direction 14.
- the vacuum sector 4 is located approximately in the region of the looping through the belt 10 and can thus increase the adhesion of the fibrous web 1 on the receiving belt 10 by the suction effect emanating from it.
- the degree of effectiveness reduction is detected here in the vicinity of the sealing strip 2 outside and in the following sector 5 via a respective microphone 7,8.
- the microphones 7, 8 must be adapted to the environmental conditions, in particular with regard to contamination, temperature and humidity, and are connected to the machine control 12.
- the machine control 12 sends a signal to the operating personnel.
- it will trigger measures to reduce the noise emission.
- This includes the cleaning of the sealing strip 2 by a cleaning device 3 in the form of a water-spray tube, which is located in the following sector in the region of the sealing strip 2.
- a change in position of the sealing strip 2. This change in position to the wear of the sealing strip 2 bill bearing the function as far as possible restore. Depending on the design of the sealing device, this can be done by pressing the sealing strip 2 to the roll shell 13 and / or pivoting of the sealing strip 2 against the roll shell 13.

Abstract
Description
Suction rolls usually consist of a perforated roll shell whose interior is connected at least in a vacuum sector with a vacuum source.
To counter this, special sealing devices have been designed to compensate for wear in particular. These devices are sometimes very complex and do not take into account the actual degree of wear and contamination, which affects their efficiency.
The noise emission is enhanced by the increasingly higher machine speeds, as they are observed in particular in machines for the production and / or finishing of paper, cardboard, tissue or other fibrous webs.
The object of the invention is therefore a simple and efficient method as well as an associated device for acoustic emission reduction in suction rolls to develop.
According to the invention, the object was achieved in terms of the method in that the noise emission is measured in the region of the suction roll and when exceeding a predetermined noise emission limit measures for reducing the noise emission are initiated.
Thus, the change of the acoustic emission during operation of the suction roll becomes the gauge for the increasing wear and / or the increasing contamination of at least one, preferably the, sound emission determining elements of the suction roll. This is relatively easy to implement and still very reliable. For acoustic emission measurement, the use of at least one microphone is particularly suitable.
To increase the measurement accuracy, the measurement should be made as close as possible to the source of the acoustic emission. This means that the sound emission should preferably be measured in the region of the transition from the vacuum sector to the sector following in the direction of rotation. In this area, it comes to contamination and wear of the sealing device and also for ventilation of the perforation of the suction roll. In this case, the sound emission measurement should be carried out by at least one microphone arranged outside the suction roll and / or at least one microphone arranged inside the suction roll, preferably in the sector following the vacuum sector.
Depending on the specific circumstances and requirements, it should be ensured, in particular by the corresponding programming of the machine control or regulation, that an alarm is triggered when the noise emission limit value is exceeded and / or a message is sent to the operating personnel and / or a registration by the machine control and / or the measured sound emission values are fed into a control loop.
In particular, as a result of the notification or the registration of the exceeding of the acoustic emission limit value should also be ensured that in the following on exceeding the noise emission limit machine downtime at least one, preferably the, increasing the noise emission causing elements of the suction roll and / or in their position changed and / or cleaned.
However, the machine control or regulation can also be realized in such a way that a sound-reducing reaction to an exceeding of the predetermined sound emission limit value takes place automatically and relatively quickly. On the one hand, this is possible because when the noise emission limit value is exceeded, the position of at least one element of the suction roll causing the increase in the noise emission is changed and / or at least one element of the suction roll causing the increase of the acoustic emission is cleaned.
As a sealing devices usually axially extending sealing strips are used, in particular, the sealing strip between the vacuum sector and the following in the direction of rotation sector because of the ventilation of the perforation of the suction roll and the associated noise is very critical. In order to be able to react to the exceeding of the predetermined acoustic emission limit value, the sealing strip is designed to be controllable or controllable in its position. It is advantageous if the sealing strip is associated with at least one cleaning device, which preferably cleans with water. A cleaning effect can also be achieved by a short-term pivoting in certain sealing devices, since thereby solve dirt from the sealing strip by the rotation of the roll shell.
By changing the position of the sealing strip can be reacted to the wear of the sealing surface with a corresponding design of the sealing strip. As a result, the sealing effect can be approximately restored and thus the noise emission can be reduced.
Application finds the method and the associated devices, especially in suction rolls, the part of a machine for producing and / or finishing a paper, cardboard, tissue or other fibrous web, preferably part of a former for sheet formation, a press section for dewatering and / or a drying section for drying the fibrous web are.
The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to an exemplary embodiment. In the accompanying drawing, the figure shows a schematic cross section through an inventive arrangement with a suction roll.
The suction roll has a
The suction roll is part of a paper machine for producing a paper, board, tissue or another
The vacuum sector 4 is located approximately in the region of the looping through the
At the transition of the perforation of the suction roll from the vacuum sector 4 in the in Direction of
The degree of effectiveness reduction is detected here in the vicinity of the
When a predetermined noise emission limit value is exceeded, the
If these measures do not lead to the desired success, then it is ensured that the
