Abstract

Elektrofotografische Vorrichtung (10) mit einer Dochtwalzenbaugruppe (30) sowie ein Verfahren zu deren Wartung/Instandsetzung. Die Dochtwalzenbaugruppe (30) ist drehbar in dem Gehäuse (25) des Fixierabschnitts (20) gehaltert und abnehmbar damit verriegelt, so dass die Fixierwalze (21) in der Dochtwalzenbaugruppe (30) schnell und einfach für Wartungs- und Instandsetzungsarbeiten zugänglich ist. Ein Techniker braucht daher nicht die gesamte Dochtwalzenbaugruppe (30) auszubauen, um die eigentliche Dochtwalze (31) zu warten oder auszuwechseln.

An electrophotographic apparatus (10) having a wick roller assembly (30) and a method of servicing / repairing the same. The wick roller assembly (30) is rotatably supported in the housing (25) of the fixing portion (20) and detachably locked therewith so that the fixing roller (21) in the wick roller assembly (30) is quickly and easily accessible for maintenance and repair work. Therefore, a technician does not need to remove the entire wicket assembly (30) to service or replace the actual wicket roller (31).
