Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sock, in particular a sports or hiking sock, wherein the term “sock” knee socks and leggings are understood with longer lengths.
  • sports or hiking socks often consist of a basic knitting, which is made of a base or carrier yarn or more such yarns.
  • These yarns usually consist of polyamide or are formed by polyamide yarn-covered elastic yarns (PA / EA).
  • PA / EA polyamide yarn-covered elastic yarns
  • With the material of the basic knitted fabric reinforcing yarns are especially in the area of the sole, the toe and the heel processed, so that in the highly stressed areas in use, a corresponding increased strength of the sock results.
  • reinforcing regions in particular at the sole, to knit the reinforcing yarn entangled with the base or carrier yarn to form plush loops.
  • a reinforcing yarn material which can absorb moisture is often used. Wool, cotton, as well as all types of Wolloder cotton blends with acrylic, polyamide or polyester, are just some of the examples.
  • the reinforcing yarn is usually plated on the ground yarn.
  • the sock in the reinforcing or functional areas necessarily has a relation to the simple one Basic knit denser knitted fabric of greater thickness, which acts as a thermal barrier.
  • longer periods of wear of the sock not only moisture, but it also increases the temperature in the reinforcement and functional areas. This is perceived as unpleasant, because it can lead to the wearer to additional perspiration, but also to the occurrence of unpleasant friction phenomena.
  • the object of the invention is to increase the wearing comfort of the sock here.
  • air or general transport channels solve the problems described above. Since the running motion of the wearer creates a kind of pumping effect, heat dissipation from the foot is significantly enhanced. This is especially true in the area of the sole.
  • the air ducts arranged there are arranged substantially transversely to the longitudinal direction of the sole, wherein they may advantageously have a substantially V-shaped course. Depending on the construction of the sock and the type and construction of the footwear in which the sock is mainly used, however, other configurations and arrangements of the air ducts may be appropriate.
  • the in the FIGS. 1 to 3 Sport or hiking sock represented in two different embodiments consists of a basic knit in right / left weave, which consists of a base or carrier yarn 6 (FIG. Fig. 4 ), which may be a textured polyamide yarn or an elastomeric yarn wrapped around at least one polyamide yarn, such as an elastane yarn.
  • the sock is formed in the usual way with a length 1, a ribbed cuff 2, a heeled heel 3, a top 4 and a sole 5.
  • Functional and reinforcing yarns, which are plated onto the ground yarn, are incorporated in the base knit consisting of the base yarn 6 in locally limited areas.
  • functional and reinforcing regions which are designed and arranged in accordance with the respective requirements for the sock are formed on the sock.
  • Two examples are in the FIGS. 1 . 2 illustrates:
  • a functional yarn 8 with the ground yarn 6 in the functional area 7 (FIG. Fig. 4 Knitted, which is selected from a material with high moisture transport capacity. There is a selection of different yarns based on polyester and polypropylene.
  • the functional area 7 extends in the foot part over the instep as well as over the lengths 1, reaching as far as the cuff 2, in which also functional yarn 8 is also processed.
  • the functional area 7 is laterally separated from a reinforcing area 10 by a separating line 9, which is also optically visible on the sock, in which a reinforcing yarn 11 (FIG. Fig. 5 ) is processed.
  • the reinforcing yarn 11 is selected from a material capable of absorbing moisture. These include wool and cotton as well as all wool and cotton blends with acrylic, polyamide and polyester as well as acrylic, polyamide or polyester yarns and their blends.
  • the reinforcing yarn 11 is knitted in the reinforcing region 10 under the formation of plush loops lying on the inner side of the sock.
  • the gain region 10 and the functional area 7 air or generally transport channels incorporated, which are designated in the functional area 7 with 50 and in the gain region 10 with 80.
  • the air channels 50, 80 are each formed by stitches 51 and 81, respectively, of the base knitted fabric knitted from the ground yarn 6 with which no functional yarn 8 or reinforcing yarn 11 is entangled. Like from the Figures 5 . 6 can be seen, the functional yarn 8 and the reinforcing yarn 11 in the areas of this basic knitted mesh 51, 81 afloat, as indicated at 52 and 82.
  • the thus formed air channels 50, 80 promote the dissipation of heat from the foot of the wearer of the sock, wherein in particular in the region of the sole 5 by the running motion of the wearer, a kind of pumping effect arises.
  • the air channels 80 in the region of the sole 5, ie, oriented starting from the parting line 9 to the functional region 10 substantially transversely to the longitudinal direction of the sole, as shown in FIGS FIGS. 1 . 2 can be seen.
  • the top view of the sole 5 of the sock behind Fig. 2 shows that the air channels 80 are arranged to extend substantially V-shaped, with the tip 83 of the V-shaped course to the toe 4 points. This special arrangement and design of the air channels 80 has proven to be particularly advantageous in practical use.
  • the width of the narrow, elongated louvers 80 corresponds to the selected embodiment, the width of two knitted from the ground yarn 6, adjacent mesh 81.
  • the width range should in practice be between about 1 and about 10 adjacent stitches 81 of the basic knit.
  • the air channels 50 are arranged in the vicinity of the dividing line 9 to the reinforcing region 10 in a strip-shaped zone 60 which extends from the leg 4 of the dividing line 9 adjacent to the tip 4 to the cuff 2.
  • zone 60 air ducts 50 are arranged in columns in four adjacent, mutually parallel "lines" Fig. 1 . 2 apparent manner offset from each other.
  • Each of these air channels 50 is made in the Fig. 6 apparently four stitches 51, which in pairs belong to a course and a wale. This results in a substantially square planar configuration of the air channels 50, the size of which may naturally also extend over or less than four stitches 51. These stitches 51 also do not necessarily have to be distributed "quadratically".
  • Fig. 4 how out Fig. 4 can be seen, close along the dividing line 9 of the functional area 7 and the gain range 10 directly to each other.
  • the functional yarn 8 and the reinforcing yarn 11 are along a wale 100 ( Fig. 4 ) and then cut off.
  • the sock has additional zones of increased compressibility built into it Fig. 2 are indicated as so-called bandages 13.
  • bandages 13 encloses the foot of the sock while another bandage 13 surrounds the shackle.
  • the air channels 80, 50 are omitted or interrupted.
  • the bandages themselves are knitted from the ground yarn 6 and the yarn of the respective area, ie from the functional yarn 8 or the reinforcing yarn 11.
  • additional elastic yarns can be incorporated here.
  • the knit binding is appropriately selected with regard to the increased compression effect, for example, ribbed similar to that in the cuff 2.
