A combination lock, with number wheels (3), on which a lock code of the combination lock (1) can be set and which are provided with insertion elements (11) on the number wheel side, coupling discs (4), which are in engagement with the number wheels (3) via insertion elements (15) on the coupling disc side and the insertion elements (11) on the number wheel side, and a locking member (5), which can be moved into its release position when the lock code of the combination lock (1) is set, characterised in that the insertion elements (15) on the coupling disc side on the one hand and/or the insertion elements (11) on the number wheel side on the other hand are designed such that the engagement between number wheel (3) and coupling disc (4) can be cancelled against the pre-tension acting in the direction of this engagement, insofar as a tangential force acting in a peripheral direction of same is exerted on the number wheel (3), which exceeds a presettable limit force, characterised in that on their external crown (9) the number wheels (3) have additional engagement depressions (10), into which the tip of a tool can be inserted in the manner of a screw driver or the like, in order to transfer the tangential force required to cancel the engagement between number wheel (3) and coupling disc (4) to the number wheel (3).

The combination lock as claimed in claim 1, wherein the insertion elements (15) on the coupling disc side are designed as rounded or scarfed projections (15) and the insertion elements (11) on the number wheel side as cylindrical recesses, into which the rounded or scarfed projections (15) on the coupling disc side project, when the coupling disc (4) and the number wheel (3) are engaged.
  3. The combination lock as claimed in claim 2, wherein the cylindrical recesses (11) on the number wheel side are designed rounded.
