Claims (14)
- Sliding gate valve for a container containing molten metal including a housing portion (14, 54), which is securable to the latter, and a slider unit (30, 60), which is longitudinally movable with respect to it, in which respective refractory valve plates (22, 23) are insertable, which may be pressed against one another by means of spring elements and serve to open and close the sliding gate valve (20), characterised in that the slider unit (30, 60) is longitudinally movably mounted on the housing portion (14, 54) by a plurality of mounting means (40, 65) aligned perpendicular to it, these mounting means (40, 65) being secured either to the housing portion (14) or the slider unit (60) and oppositely having a guide means which slides on a respective guide track (36, 71) constructed on the slider unit (30) or on the housing portion (54).
- Sliding gate valve as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that provided on both sides of the valve plate (22, 23) there are preferably two respective mounting means (40, 65) which each have a peg-shaped connecting element (25, 55) extending perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the housing portion (14) or the sliding unit (60) and the guide means supported on the connecting element (25, 55).
- Sliding gate valve as claimed in Claim 2, characterised in that each connecting element (25) is mounted in the housing portion (14) or in the slider unit (30) so as to be movable in its axial direction and is acted on by a spring element (26) constructed as a compression spring, by means of which the valve plates may be urged against one another.
- Sliding gate valve as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the two mounting means (40) situated on one side of the valve plate (22, 23) are connected together by at least one connecting rod (31, 32).
- Sliding gate valve as claimed in one of Claims 2 to 4, characterised in that the four mounting means (40) are arranged in the housing portion (14) symmetrically with respect to the outlet opening (12) of the container.
- Sliding gate valve as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the mounting means (40) are arranged in the housing portion (14) or in the slider unit (30) so as to be removable in each case as a unit together with the spring element (26).
- Sliding gate valve as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the housing portion (54) or the slider unit (30) has a respective guide track (36, 71) on both sides of the valve plates (22, 33) on which the guide elements, preferably constructed as sliding rollers (27, 68), of the mounting means (40) are guided.
- Sliding gate valve as claimed in Claim 7, characterised in that the slider unit (30, 60) is movable into a position situated outside the open and the closed positions in which the guide tracks (36) are lowered with respect to those on the remainder of the length of the track by a height which relaxes the spring elements so that this slider unit (30, 60) is released after moving out the housing portion (14, 54).
- Sliding gate valve as claimed in any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the slider unit (30) is mounted, in the position in which it is released from the housing portion (14), about a pivotal axis constituted by a hinge (37, 38) or the like which is provided on one of the two longitudinal sides or on the one narrow side of the housing portion (14).
- Sliding gate valve as claimed in Claim 9, characterised in that the slider unit (30) is coupled to a push rod (42) of the drive element (19) by means of a coupling, whereby this coupling is constructed as claw coupling with claws (41) on the slider unit (30) so that the coupling automatically releases or couples in the released swung out position of the slider unit (30).
- Sliding gate valve as claimed in one of Claims 1 to 4, 7 or 8, characterised in that the mounting means (65) are secured to the slider unit (60) and oppositely have a guide means which comprises a shaft (69) and a rotatable slide roller (68) on it and which slides on a respective guide track (71) formed on the housing portion (54).
- Sliding gate valve as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the housing portion (14, 54) and also the slider unit (30, 60) each have a plate-like construction and are arranged, in the operational state, parallel and at a small spacing from one another.
- Slider unit for a sliding gate valve as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterised in that on both sides the slider unit (30) has a respective T groove-shaped recess (33), extending in its direction of movement, in which the guide tracks (36) are provided, by which longitudinal guiding is made possible of the mounting means with their two slide rollers (27) rotatably mounted symmetrically with respect to the axial direction of the connecting element.
- Slider unit as claimed in Claim 13, characterised in that the T groove-shaped recesses (33), which are arranged laterally in the slider unit (30), are each provided in the middle and at the end with a diverging opening (33') which are so dimensioned and constructed with respect to one another that the connecting elements (25) may be slid into them together with the slide rollers (27) and can be removed from them.
