Definitions

  • the invention relates to a container which can be reduced in volume after emptying a semi-rigid to rigid plastic to hold solid or liquid to gel-like Substances, for example chemicals or foods, especially pesticides.
  • the container is characterized by horizontal at about half the height arranged fold lips on the two narrow sides of the container, and one on the same Height circumferential, if necessary, interrupted additional folding groove, whereby the Folding groove also runs through the largest deepening of the fold lips.
  • Foldable plastic canisters are already known from EP-A-0 621 189, their folding thereby it is achieved that on the narrow sides three are at the same distance, only arrange fold lines running to the middle of the narrow sides.
  • the half-sided arrangement was chosen so that the folding takes place on the long side.
  • the achievable volume reduction is relatively small.
  • the folding process is complicated and cannot by simply applying pressure on the top.
  • the making of this Container also represents an increased effort in terms of shape.
  • a foldable canister is known from the international design application DM031261 due to articulated lips on the narrow sides, additional articulated lips on both broad sides, as well marked by a circumferential fold groove running diagonally on the broad side is, the kink lips of the narrow sides together with the folding grooves of the broad sides bump.
  • the concave crease lips have to be taped over, what that Appearance and the quality (e.g. durability) of the labeling impaired.
  • the invention relates to a container made of a semi-rigid to rigid, thermoplastic Plastic with a headboard, a closure and, if necessary, a handle has, a bottom part and connecting middle part of two narrow and two broad sides, whereby the narrow sides have fold lips and the broad sides have folding grooves, thereby characterized in that on the two narrow sides of the container at about half the height horizontally arranged articulated lips are provided, and at the same height the narrow mouth A circumferential fold groove, possibly interrupted in the middle, is arranged on the broad sides is so that this folding groove runs through the largest depression of the fold lips.
  • thermoplastics, homopolymers and copolymers are available in large numbers known and can for example from the group of polyolefins (polyethylene, polypropylene), Polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, polyacrylates, polymethacrylates, polystyrene, polyacrylonitrile, Copolymers such as acrylonitrile / butadiene / styrene (ABS), polyurethanes and polyester.

  • the physical as well as mechanical properties are special the breaking strength, the folding strength, elongation at break, impact strength and the stress crack resistance significant.
  • the design of the bottom part is arbitrary in itself, but should be designed so that the Container has good stability.
  • the bottom is preferably planar or light curved inwards, with additional plinths can be provided.
  • the design of the head part is arbitrary in itself, the design being a matter of course is preferably carried out so that a complete emptying of the contents is guaranteed. For this purpose, it is expedient to design the head part so that it is separated from the Container walls slightly up to the lock runs.
  • the closure is advantageously close, or in alignment with a narrow side if an additional handle is used is provided.
  • the closure can also be located approximately in the middle. Prefers become screw caps, plug caps and safety caps.
  • a handle located in the head part is preferably arranged behind the closure and can advantageously be designed so that it has no connection to the container volume having. This can be achieved by either designing the handle from all-plastic, or to save weight, for example, make the handle hollow and the handle in the Closes the area of the headboard.
  • the Rest of the handle is hollow and protrudes beyond the squeezed part, that the edges lie on the surface of the head part when possible folding and prevent such a complete flipping (principle of self-locking).
