Definitions
- Fluid product dispenser with flexible pocket
- the present invention relates to a fluid dispenser comprising a flexible bag containing said fluid, a dispensing member such as a pump for withdrawing fluid from the flexible bag and an advantageously rigid shell in which the flexible bag is installed.
- a dispensing member such as a pump for withdrawing fluid from the flexible bag
- an advantageously rigid shell in which the flexible bag is installed.
- the flexible bag is fixed either on the rigid shell, or on the pump directly, or even on a sleeve making the transition between the bag and the pump, the sleeve being often fixed on the rigid shell.
- the sleeve is fixed to the rigid shell by snap-fastening.
- the rigid shell defines an opening through which we must insert the flexible pocket connected to the sleeve.
- the sleeve can then be snapped onto the opening of the rigid shell. It then suffices to fill the flexible bag with fluid and to mount the pump without air intake on the transition sleeve. This constitutes the most classic technique of the prior art.
- the rigid shell consists of two parts, but whose connection line extends horizontally when the distributor is held upright.
- a dispenser is for example described in the document FR-2 081 244.
- the document EP-0 447 687 describes a dispenser provided with a shell in two parts connected together by an articulation. By passing the connection line through the opening of the shell, one can thus arrange the flexible pocket inside one of the two shell parts and complete the shell by closing it with the other part.
- the two shell parts hold together a pocket support on which a pocket is welded.
- a distribution head incorporating a pump is mounted on the two shell parts using a screw ring. To do this, the two parts of shell together form an opening in the form of an externally threaded neck.
- Screwing the ring onto this two-part collar has the effect of holding the two shell parts together.
- the screwing of the ring has the other effect of hermetically pressing the inlet of the pump on the pocket support. Consequently, the simple unscrewing of the ring frees the two shell parts which can then be opened by pivoting to extract the pocket with its support.
- the ring is not fixed to the pocket support. This is explained by the fact that this is a refillable dispenser in which the pocket is intended to be replaced.
- the fixing of the head on the shell and on the pocket support must therefore not be final. This is why the fastening technique chosen is screwing, which is easily reversible.
- the dispensing head is screwed onto the pocket support, the two articulated shell parts not cooperating with the fixing ring so that they can be opened to any time.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a non-refillable dispenser with a flexible bag, the mounting of the fixing ring of which is final.
- the present invention provides a fluid dispenser comprising: a flexible bag containing said fluid and provided with an opening, a dispensing member, such as a pump for withdrawing the product contained in the flexible bag through said opening, a shell surrounding said pocket and provided with an opening coinciding with that of the flexible pocket, said shell being made in two parts connected to each other along a connection line passing through the opening of said shell so that each shell part forms part of the opening of the shell, a pocket support to which the opening of the flexible pocket is fixed, said support being held in position between the two shell parts at the level of the opening of the shell, a fixing ring for the dispensing member, the fixing ring comprising: a fixing ring snapped onto the pocket support, and a retaining ring engaged on the opening of the shell to hold the two shell parts together.
- the snap-fastening is a definitive fixing unlike the screwing: they are therefore not equivalent in this case of application.
- the two shell parts comprise assembly means located on the side opposite to the opening.
- the assembly means comprise two male-female type encasing systems, each shell part forming a male connector and a female connector intended to cooperate respectively with a female connector and a male connector formed by the other part. hull.
- the two parts form two identical half-shells.
- the shell parts comprise, at their connection line, alignment and centering means to ensure a perfectly aligned connection of the two shell parts.
- At least part of the shell is formed with a window through which the flexible pocket is visible.
- the shell is in the form of a frame surrounding the flexible pocket.
- FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a fluid dispenser according to the invention, the flexible pouch not being shown for clarity
- FIG. 2 is a perspective view during of the assembly operation of the dispenser of FIG. 1
- FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the fluid dispenser of FIGS. 1 and 2 in the assembled state
- Figure 4 is a vertical cross-sectional view through the fluid dispenser of Figures 1 to 3
- Figure 5 is an enlarged view of a detail of Figure 4
- Figure 6 is an exploded perspective view of 'a fluid dispenser according to a second embodiment.
- a fluid dispenser according to the invention comprises three essential constituent elements, namely a flexible bag 3 (fig. 4) containing fluid, a pump without air intake 5 capped with a push button 51, a shell 1 surrounding the flexible bag 3, and a fixing ring 4 used to fix the pump on the bag.
- the particular design of the pump 5 is not essential for the present invention: it is however preferable and even practically necessary that it be of the type without air intake (airless) in order to be able to benefit from the elastic properties of the flexible bag 3 which allows a reduction in its capacity as the product is distributed, thus preventing the product contained inside from coming into contact with the ambient air.
- the internal structure of the pump will therefore not be described.
- the flexible bag 3 is preferably made from two laminated sheets welded together in a sealed manner except at the level of an opening 31 intended to be advantageously fixed by heat sealing, either directly on the body of the pump.
- the shell 1 is according to the invention produced in two parts 11 and 12 which once assembled share a connection line which extends in a vertical plane when the dispenser is held upright.
- the shell 1 which can be substantially rigid has at its upper end an opening 13 through which the pump 5 is in connection with the flexible bag 3 installed inside the shell 1.
- the connection line of the two parts 11 and 12 of the shell 1 extends through said opening 13 so that each shell part defines a part of the opening 13 as can be seen in FIG. 1.
- each shell part 11, 12 defines a flange part 111, 121 which once assembled constitutes a complete cylindrical flange.
- the two shell parts 11, 12 can be produced separately, for example by plastic molding, and then assemblies.
- the two shell parts 11 and 12 can also be connected by a hinge 10, for example at their edge opposite the opening 13 as can be seen in FIG. 1.
- the two shell parts 11 and 12 are molded together in a single piece and simply connected by bridges of thinner material 10, which act as a hinge.
- the entire shell 1 can be molded in a single operation.
- alignment and centering means 111, 122 can be provided at their common connection line 14, in the form of pins 112 which are inserted at the 'interior of holes 122 made in the other shell part. This ensures a perfectly aligned connection of the two shell parts 11 and 12. Simultaneously, it ensures that the opening 13 is perfectly formed by the two flanges 111 and 121 of the two shells 11 and 12.
- the flexible bag 3 can be directly welded to the body of the pump 5.
- a pump body defining a connection sleeve on which the opening 31 of the flexible bag is welded. Maintaining the pump 5 and its associated pocket 3 can then simply be achieved by closing the two shell parts 11 and 12 on the pump body so as to keep it in the opening 13.
- the final closure of the shell 1 fear for example to be produced by a few welding points at its connection line 14.
- This version constitutes an alternative embodiment.
- a pocket support 2 which makes it possible to make the connection between the pocket 3 and the pump 5.
- the pocket support 2 is stuck in the opening 13 of the two shell parts 11 and 12 as can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the pocket support 2 comprises a connection sleeve 21 on which the opening of the pocket 31 is fixed, by example by heat sealing, a sleeve 22 which sails upwards and on which the pump 5 rests, and a plate 23 extending horizontally around the sleeve 22 and the sleeve 21 at their junction.
- a passage opening is defined through the sleeve 21, the plate 23 and the sleeve 22 to communicate the opening 31 of the flexible bag 3 and the inlet of the pump 5 as can be seen in FIG. 4.
- the plate 23 is used, the long lateral edges of which are housed in the space defined between the two flanges 113 and 114 on the one hand and 123, 124 on the other part, as can be seen in FIG. 4. Once closed, the two half-shells 11 and 12, which are substantially identical, perfectly maintain the pocket support 2 between them.
- the fixing ring 4 comprises a fixing ring 42 which defines a casing housing between a surface 422 and a casing cord 421 which cooperate with the socket 22 advantageously by the interposition of a seal 6.
- the dou ille 22 is provided at its upper end with a bead 221 which projects outwards.
- the encasing cord 422 is adapted to be housed below the protruding bead 221 of the socket 22 by crushing the seal 6 between the end of the socket 22 and the bearing surface 422 formed by the fixing ring 42.
- the fixing ring 4 incorporates in this embodiment a retaining ring 41 which makes it possible to lock the two shell parts 11 and 12 together without it being necessary to make points weld at their connection line 14.
- This retaining ring 41 engages on the outside of the flange 111, 121 of the two shell parts 11 and 12 which form the opening 13.
- the two shell parts once closed, contain the flexible bag which is then no longer visible if the shell is made of an opaque material.
- the two shell parts each form a frame or yoke defining inside a large window 115, 125 through which the flexible pocket 3 is visible.
- the two shell parts can be formed with such a window.
- the term shell should therefore be interpreted here in a broad sense.
- the shell then only surrounds or frames the flexible pocket.
- the pocket can be taken on its periphery between the two frame parts of the shell.
- the pocket can be held at its bottom 33 between the two frame parts.
- the bottom of the pocket is pierced with two holes 34, and the frame parts are formed with a system of pins 104, 105 intended to pass through the holes 34 to thereby hold the pocket.
- the latter is only maintained at its bottom 33, the lateral edges 32, although arranged between the frame parts, being free to move to allow the bag to vary in volume.
- Another feature of this embodiment comes from the technique of assembling the two shell parts.
- the two shell parts are articulated, they are here assembled by means of male-female cladding systems 101, 102.
- Each shell part can for example form, at the level from its bottom, opposite the opening 13, an eye 101 and a stud 102; the nipple of a shell part being adapted to be housed by snap-fastening in the eye of the other shell part, and vice versa.
- the two shell parts can then be perfectly identical, hence saving mold tooling.
- Such an assembly system or the like can of course be implemented in the previous embodiment in place of the joint.
