Description

The invention relates to an escalator or a moving walkway with a framework, with steps and with a balustrade on both sides of the steps, wherein the balustrade is attached to Balustraddenstehern.

Such escalators or moving walkways have become widely used in public transport such as subway stations, train stations and so on. Often there is a fixed staircase parallel to the escalator or moving walk (see eg US 3,144,118 A ). In such systems, it comes to unauthorized climbing the balustrade and jumping on or off the escalator or the moving walk to accidents.

Such accidents can be avoided by dividing walls. However, it is difficult and associated with greater scope of work and expense to install partitions later on the escalator or on the moving walk or on the fixed stairs.

From the JP 08002866 A measures for the attachment of partitions are known in which beams are welded or screwed. These measures require not too low installation costs and accurate work.

It is an object of the present invention to attach in an escalator or a moving walkway safety dividers with a stable construction, the partitions can be easily installed, can be reacted to building tolerances on site and no repeated static inspection is required.

This object is achieved by an escalator or a moving walk with the features of claim 1.

According to the invention, the truss and the balustrade are thus provided with clamps with which profile tubes can be fixed. The partitions are attached to the profile tubes. For the attachment of the partitions on site neither drilled nor welded. This is especially a great advantage because after drilling or welding on the truss this would again be subjected to a static review. In addition, of course, the assembly time is reduced at the site. It is also beneficial that the partitions can later be easily dismantled or replaced.

Preferably, u-profiles are provided for receiving the profile tubes at the lower part of the framework. These u-profiles prevent the profile tubes from sliding down the clamps in case clamps become loose. Another advantage is that the profile tubes can be mounted from the step band: in the U-profile, the profile tube can be placed from the top in, and the higher-lying terminals are accessible from the step band.

The clamps and u-profiles are used to fix profile tubes to which partitions are attached. It is expedient if partitions are attached both on the outside and on the inside of the profile tubes. In this way, the profile tubes are covered and can not pose a risk of injury.

Preferably, the partitions are attached to the outside at least on its underside from the inside, so that at least the lower fastening elements are covered. This is not only visually advantageous, but prevents also an unauthorized removal of the fasteners (eg screws).

In order to achieve the same effect for the inner partitions, the lower fastening elements of the partitions may be covered on the inside of the balustrade. If you want that the upper fasteners are invisible, then you can cover the upper fasteners of partitions with a cover.

Escalator (1) or moving walkway with a framework (4), with steps (3) and with a balustrade (5) at both sides of the steps (3), wherein the balustrade (5) is fastened to balustrade posts (6), characterised in that clamps (15, 16) are provided at the framework (4) and at the balustrade posts (6), wherein profile tubes (14) are clamped in the clamps (15, 16) and partition walls (8, 9) are fastened to the profile tubes (14).
2. Escalator or moving walkway according to claim 1, characterised in that U profile members (17) for reception of the profile tubes (14) are provided at the lower part of the framework (4).
3. Escalator or moving walkway according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the partition walls (8, 9) are fastened to both the outer side and the inner side of the profile tubes (14).
4. Escalator or moving walkway according to claim 3, characterised in that the partition walls (8, 9) at the outer side are fastened at least at their underside from within so that at least the lower fastening elements (9.1) of the partition walls are covered.
5. Escalator or moving walkway according to claim 4, characterised in that the lower fastening elements (8.1) of the partition walls (8) at the inner side are covered by the balustrade (5).
