Le caractère plan de l'embase permet de juxtaposer les attaches selon la direction longitudinale du profilé avec une grande densité des tiges destinées à coopérer avec les ressorts du harnais. On peut prévoir que tous les ressorts d'une même colonne situés dans la profondeur d'empoutage sont regroupés sur une même attache disposée selon la direction d'avance des fils de chaíne, alors que le profilé s'étend selon une direction globalement parallèle aux fils de trame.
- Les tiges sont juxtaposées essentiellement selon un plan principal de l'embase. En d'autres termes, les tiges forment une nappe globalement plane prolongeant l'embase.
- L'embase est percée d'un orifice central constituant une poignée de prise en main du dispositif, par exemple pour sa mise en place sur un profilé.
- Les crochets et les becs sont orientés de telle sorte que leurs surfaces de contact respectives sont comprises dans l'épaisseur de l'embase, ce qui permet de juxtaposer les embases, et par voie de conséquence les tiges, avec une grande densité.
