Description

The invention relates to dry sump lubrication for an internal combustion engine the preamble of claim 1.

Die DE 11 00 375 behandelt ein Trockensumpfschmierölsystem für Brennkraftmaschinen. Dieses Trockensumpfschmierölsystem umfaßt Ölsümpfe, die an einer Unterseite eines Kurbelgehäuses der Brennkraftmaschine angeordnet sind.DE 11 00 375 deals with a dry sump lubricating oil system for Internal combustion engines. This dry sump lubricating oil system includes oil sumps that are on an underside of a crankcase of the internal combustion engine are arranged.

From US 2,430,097 a lubrication system emerges that removes one from the Internal combustion engine has attached oil tank. Between the oil tank and Internal combustion engine are an inlet line and a return line for the appropriate lubricant is provided.

This container has a rectangular shape and extends in the amount of about 30% of the internal combustion engine.

The object of the invention is a dry sump lubrication for a To create internal combustion engine, the oil tank functional and spatial is conveniently arranged on the internal combustion engine.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing features of Claim 1 solved. Further features embodying the invention are in the Subclaims included.

The main advantages achieved with the invention are that the Oil container due to its space-saving shape to a simple construction of a Dry sump lubrication helps, which is easy with an internal combustion engine can be realized. That the oil tank on the internal combustion engine by means of elastic Bearing elements is held in position, ensures a decoupled i.e. low-noise Low-vibration interaction of the oil tank with the internal combustion engine. The return line made of metal ensures on the one hand that it is the suction pressure of a Oil pump withstands. On the other hand, the bellows serves to close the oil tank decouple and compensate for tolerances between him and the internal combustion engine. Finally, the check valve ensures that when the engine is at rest the lubricating oil introduced into the oil container remains there and does not open undesirably flows into the internal combustion engine. Because of the opposite the internal combustion engine would have a relatively high level of lubricating oil in the oil tank the check valve lower lying cylinders and combustion chambers e.g. one Boxer internal combustion engine flooded and low-emission operation of the Internal combustion engine difficult. The check valve and its pipe socket-like Housings are components that are easy to manufacture with reasonable effort can be installed between the return line and the internal combustion engine.
