    4. Cutting-device in accordance with claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that suction elements (15, 16), for bulging and pulling back the flap (6, 7), are disposed on the under and upper-sides of the block (3).
    5. Cutting-device in accordance with claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that a drive, preferably a piston-cylinder unit, is provided, in order to move the suction elements (15, 16) from a suction to a holding position and back, whereby the direction of the movement concerned is preferably inclined in relation to a normal of the flap.
    6. Cutting-device in accordance with claim 1 or 2, characterized in that adjustment elements for lining-up of the suction and/or holding position are provided.
    7. Cutting-device in accordance with claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that the suction element (15, 16) has a suction cup (28) that is supported such that it can move in the direction of movement.
    8. Cutting-device in accordance with one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the suction cup (28) has a support structure (30) for the flap.
    9. Cutting-device in accordance with one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the suction cup (28) is supported such that it can shift in at least one direction that is transverse in relation to the direction of movement.
    10. Cutting-device in accordance with one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support structure (30) has a concave casing surface that is preferably part of a cylindrical surface.
    11. Cutting-device in accordance with one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the suction and/or the holding position of each suction element (15, 16) is developed such that it can be adjusted independently of the other one.
    12. Cutting-device in accordance with one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the suction element (15, 16) has a channel (35) that is connected to a vacuum (27) that can be connected in and severed.
    13. Cutting-device in accordance with one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that a restrictor is provided, in the channel (35), that is preferably developed such that it can be adjusted and/or closed.
    14. Cutting-device in accordance with one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cutting-device has an operational cycle and means of sychronizing the movement of the suction element with the operational cycle.
    15. Cutting-device in accordance with one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that a cutting table (4) is provided that has a bar (19), behind which the lower flap can be drawn back, that is aligned towards the knife in the cutting plane.
    16. Cutting-device in accordance with one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that several suction elements (15, 16) are disposed on a suction strip (27).
    17. Process, for cutting brochures (2) along a cutting-plane (8) on the front page of brochures, with projecting or flush flaps (6, 7) of a cover (5) in which a block (3) is suspended, characterized in that the flap is pulled back from the cutting-plane, before cutting, by the creation of an angular bulge (25).
    18. Process for cutting brochures in accordance with claim 17, characterized in that the creation of a bulge in the flap occurs through the use of a vacuum.
    19. Process for cutting brochures in accordance with claim 17 or 18, characterized in that the clamping member is pressed onto the block following what is the front page on opening the brochure, until the front page has been cut.
    20. Process for cutting brochures in accordance with claims 17, 18 or 19, characterized in that the vacuum is eliminated after the flap has been pressed against the book block.
    21. Process for cutting brochures, in accordance with claims 17, 18, 19 or 20, characterized in that the cutting process is one of double use.
    22. Process for cutting brochures in accordance with claims 17, 18, 19, 20 or 21, characterized in that the front cut and the top and bottom cut occur in a machine.
