Claims (11)
- Dispositif pour le satinage d'une feuille, comprenant une paire de cylindres de satinage munis de denture du même genre, reliés à un entraínement permettant de les entraíner individuellement ou en commun, les cylindres étant capables d'être pressés l'un contre l'autre de manière élastique, caractérisé en ce que les dents pyramidales de la denture présentent une pointe aplatie et un plan rectangulaire disposé de telle manière que les côtés sont parallèles resp. perpendiculaires à l'axe longitudinal des cylindres, afin d'obtenir un état de fonctionnement autostabilisant dans lequel les cylindres sont capables d'un mouvement relatif et d'être déplacés dans des positions relatives où les dentures des cylindres présentent une condition d'engrènement déterminée telle que chaque dent de chaque cylindre est engagée de manière symétrique entre quatre dents du cylindre opposé en une position relative stable.
- Dispositif selon la revendication 1, où l'un des cylindres est capable d'être entraíné alors que l'autre est libre en rotation et capable d'être entraíné par le premier cylindre par l'engrenage des dentures des cylindres, caractérisé en ce que les cylindres sont capables d'un mouvement relatif en direction axiale, le cylindre libre en rotation étant préférablement arrangé avec jeu axial.

- Dispositif selon l'une des revendications 1 à 7, caractérisé par des moyens permettant de supprimer la mobilité relative des cylindres lorsque ladite position relative d'engrènement est atteinte, par exemple en supprimant le jeu axial relatif ou en engageant un engrenage disposé entre les cylindres.
- Application du dispositif selon l'une des revendications 1 à 8 pour le satinage de feuilles composées en majeure partie de papier.
- Procédé pour la mise en oeuvre du dispositif selon la revendication 1, où en fonctionnement stationnaire continu, les cylindres sont utilisés dans une position relative où chaque dent dans la zone d'engrenure de chaque cylindre est engagée de manière au moins approximativement symétrique entre quatre dents de l'autre cylindre, et en ce que les cylindres sont mis en rotation et rapprochés, au moins pendant la mise en marche, afin de les amener en une position relative d'engrènement déterminée et stable dans laquelle ils restent pendant le fonctionnement continu.
- Procédé selon la revendication 10, caractérisé en ce que les cylindres sont verrouillés, dès qu'ils ont atteint ladite position d'engrènement stable, dans cette position relative en supprimant le jeu relatif en direction axiale et/ou circonférentielle.
