Abstract

La présente invention concerne une plate-forme hypersustentée à effet de sol caractérisée par deux paires de tuyères à rideaux d'air concentriques annulaires (32, 33) et des tuyères suralimentées (46, 64) qui dirigent leurs jets d'air respectifs vers le bas, intérieurement sous la surface de sustentation (38), en vis-à-vis de plate-forme. La disposition concentrique des tuyères donne un coussin d'air central suralimenté entouré d'un rideau d'air intérieur et un coussin d'air périphérique entouré d'un rideau d'air périphérique. Cette disposition donne un surcroît d'hypersustentation pour les forces concourant à soulever la plate-forme, lequel surcroît se constate par rapport aux dispositifs existants à effet de sol qui dirigent un courant d'écoulement d'air sur la surface périphérique incurvée vers le bas de la plate-forme. Lorsque l'air s'écoule vers le bas le long de la surface périphérique de la plate-forme, il crée un différentiel de pression qui délivre une force supplémentaire supportant la plate-forme. Le courant d'écoulement d'air et le jet d'air sont fournis par une hélice ou une soufflante en rotation (54) montées à l'extérieur ou à l'intérieur de la plate-forme.
