Description

einem metallischen rohrförmigen Gehäuse 10 ein Isolator 11
angeordnet, wobei die rotationssymmetrischen Achsen des
Gehäuses 10 und des Isolators 11 deckungsgleich liegen. In
dem Isolator 11 ist ferner ein Kontaktbolzen 12, ein
Abbrandwiderstand 13, welcher in ein leitfähiges
Kontaktpanat 14 eingebettet ist, ein Kontaktstift 15 und die
Mittelelektrode 16 angeordnet. Bei dieser erfindungsgemäßen
Ausführung ist die Bohrung des Isolators 11, welche die
gesamte leitfähige Mittelanordnung aufnimmt, so gestaltet,
daß die Isolatorbohrung 17 Bereiche unterschiedlicher
Durchmesser aufweist. Diese verschiedenen Durchmesser sind
so gestaltet, daß im Bereich des Kontaktbolzens der
Durchmesser der Isolatorbohrung 17 am größten ist, während
der Durchmesser der Isolatorbohrung auf der Brennraumseite
am kleinsten ist. Damit weist auch das Widerstandspaket 13
auf der Seite des Kontaktbolzens 12 einen größeren
Querschnitt auf als auf der Elektrodenseite. Im
dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel ist die Fußbohrung mit
einem Durchmesser von ca. 3 mm ausgeführt, während die
Bohrung auf der Seite des Kontaktbolzens einen Durchmesser
von ca. 4,6 mm aufweist. Bei dieser Anordnung liegt das Ende
des Widerstandspaketes mit dem größeren Querschnitt bereits
außerhalb des Fußbereiches der Zündkerze, so daß es keine
