Definitions
- the invention relates to a loom with pneumatic weft insertion.
- weaving machines with pneumatic weft insertion are known from the prior art, the weft insertion being carried out either by means of a pivotable insertion device mounted on the reed or by means of a stationary insertion device mounted on the machine frame.
- the looms with the swiveling entry device have disadvantages.
- the weft thread entered in each case is clamped and cut in the area of the reed stop, so that the setting of the blow nozzles in the entry position can only take place while the reed is being reset, which in particular restricts the number of blow nozzles and also requires special control.
- the reciprocating movement of the reed provided with the insertion device generates relatively high inertial forces, which lead to undesirable vibrations of the moving system, and the weft threads are brought into uncontrolled vibrations as they are fed from the thread feeder into the blow nozzles, so that they cross and impose each other.
- the invention has for its object to improve a weaving machine with pneumatic weft insertion so that the disadvantages mentioned do not occur.
- Weft threads of different types and colors can be used and that the loom can be operated at a high speed.
- 1 shows an embodiment of an inventive weaving machine with air entry in a schematic representation
- 2 shows a sectional side view of the weft insertion area of the weaving machine
- FIG. 7 shows an embodiment of a control device for the blowing nozzles
- FIG. 10 shows the section according to FIG. 9, which represents the situation when the weft thread is clamped
- FIG. 11 shows the section according to FIG. 9, which represents the situation when the weft thread is cut
- FIG. 12 shows the section according to FIG. 9, which represents the situation with the blade stop and
- Fig.13 another embodiment of scissors.
- the weaving machine in question contains a machine frame 1, a warp beam 2 from which warp threads 3, 4 are let down, a match beam 5, a shedding device 6 with a device for forming selvedges, an arrangement 7 for the insertion of
- the shed forming device 6 forms an upper and lower compartment 11, 12 with the warp threads 3, 4 and a compartment with the edging threads (FIG. 8).
- the arrangement 7 contains a pneumatic weft insertion device 14 as well as a pair of scissors 15 and a blowing aid 17, which are arranged between the insertion device 14 and the reed 8 in the thread running direction.
- the entry device 14 is mounted on the machine frame 1.
- the scissors 15 are coupled to the reed 8.
- the blowing aid 17 is connected to the reed 8.
- the insertion device 14 contains a support part 21, eight blow nozzles 22, a nozzle block 23, a holder 24 and an actuating device 25.
- the support part 21 is fastened to the machine frame 1 by means of screws 26.
- the blowing nozzles 22 are arranged in pairs and are operatively connected to a compressed air source and a weft thread store.
- the blowing nozzles 22 are detachably mounted on one side in the nozzle block 23.
- the holder 24 for the nozzle block is connected to the support part 21.
- the actuating device 25 is connected to the shedding device 6 via a kinematic element 27 in order to place the blowing nozzles 22 in the insertion position.
- the nozzle block 23 and the holder 24 are designed in such a way that the mouth of the blowing nozzles can be pivoted about directions running at right angles to one another.
- a spring 28 is provided which holds the kinematic organ 27 under tension.
- a drive arrangement can be provided to the actuating device 25, which is controlled via a control device known per se, in order to set the blowing nozzles in the entry position.
- the reed 8 is on one
- a thread guide device 32 is attached to the sheet bar. It is advantageous if the guide device 32 contains an air supply part 33, which is mounted on the sheet bar, a plurality of lamellae 34, which are arranged in the manner of a comb and each have a recess 35, in order to determine a guide channel 36 and relay nozzles 37 to promote the registered weft thread 38 through the guide channel.
- a so-called tunnel weave with relay nozzles can be used.
- the blowing aid 17 is used with advantage in the weaving machine in question here.
- the blowing aid is a plate-shaped body 41 with a conical penetration 42 and with an outlet slot 43.
- the body 41 is fastened to the air guiding part 33.
- the scissors 15 have a fixed and a movable
- Scissors blade 51.52 The stationary scissor blade 51 is attached to the machine frame 1.
- the movable scissor blade 52 is mounted on the reed 8 (Fig.5).
- FIG. 6 shows the assignment of the blowing nozzles to the guide channel 36 determined by the lamellae 34.
- An essential feature of the weaving machine is that the respective pair of blowing nozzles are essentially parallel is aligned with the center line of the guide channel 36 when the guide channel assumes the entry position.
- the blowing nozzles 22 are adjusted by the actuating device 25 and the kinematic organ 27.
- the blowing nozzle 12 can be arranged in a bundle shape.
- the shedding device 6 comprises e.g. a jacquard device or a dobby, a color control device 56, a summing gear 57 and a one-armed lever 58 which is articulated on the machine frame 1.
- a jacquard device or a dobby e.g. a jacquard device or a dobby
- a color control device 56 e.g. a color control device 56
- a summing gear 57 e.g. a summing gear 57
- a one-armed lever 58 which is articulated on the machine frame 1.
- Such summation gears and their function are known, so that a description thereof is omitted.
- the kinematic element 27, which is connected to the actuating device 25, is fastened to the lever 58.
- This device is designed such that, on the one hand, a compartment is formed by means of the edging threads 63, 64 moved by the strands 61, 62 and on the other hand, the change of subject is initiated immediately after the insertion process of the weft has been completed. Due to this change of subject, the inserted weft thread 38 is frictionally clamped by means of the edge threads 63, 64. This frictional clamping is advantageously maintained until the weft thread 38 strikes by means of the edge threads 63, 64. At the time the weft thread is separated, it is already frictionally clamped so that the separated weft thread no longer comes loose (Fig. 10). The point in time at which the weft thread 38 is separated is determined by the design or functional assignment of the scissors to the movement of the reed 8. This has the particular advantage that the control for the scissors is simplified.
- FIG. 9 shows the situation during the insertion of a weft thread 38.
- the blowing nozzle 22 is set in the insertion position.
- the reed 8 is in the retracted position, the scissors 15 are in the open position and the weft thread is injected into the guide channel 36 of the thread guide device 32 by the blowing aid 17 and by the square threads 63, 64.
- the subject change of the edge threads 63, 64 is carried out in accordance with the machine cycle and the weft thread 38 is frictionally clamped by the warp threads (FIG. 10). Furthermore, the reed 8 is pivoted in the direction of the stop position.
- the weft 38 is cut because the scissor blade 52 connected to the reed 8 is moved against the stationary scissor blade 51. This provides a new weft thread for entry. furthermore, the weft thread 38 is displaced by the reed 8 (FIG. 11).
- FIG. 13 shows another embodiment of the scissors 15.
- the scissors still have a stationary shear blade 71 and a movable shear blade 72 which can be pivoted with respect to the stationary shear blade.
- An electric stepping motor 73 is provided for actuating the movable shaving blade.
- the weft 38 is thus inserted into the guide channel 36 by the stationary weft insertion device 14 and held, cut and beaten during the pivoting of the reed 8. This has a number of advantages. Through the local window
- the insertion device makes the supply of the weft thread from a weft thread feeder safer and the period for adjusting the blowing nozzle into the insertion position extends considerably, so that up to sixteen weft threads of different colors and types can be inserted.
- the frictional clamping and the movement of the inserted weft thread with the reed up to the stop ensure that the weft thread is struck correctly, with the protruding weft end sections being short and little waste being generated.
