Definitions
- the invention relates to a low electrical connector unipolar voltage, intended in particular to allow a temporary local power supply to the network electric "E.D.F", when switching off this latest.
- This connector is in particular mounted in bypass on the network to supply auxiliary power certain points in the network, for example building blocks, when switching it downstream.
- the invention thus relates to a new connector specially designed for this application based on the current trend of "E.D.F”. maintain food users and therefore avoid subjecting them to a network interruption.
- Another object of the invention is to provide a insulated electrical connector both for its contact part male than for its complementary female contact part and meeting in particular the IP 2 X reference of the standard European NF EN 60 529.
- a connector is indeed proposed according to the invention unipolar low voltage electric, intended in particular for allow local power to some points of the electrical network, at the downstream shutdown of the latter, characterized in that it comprises a part of male contact and female contact part complementary, each protected by a peripheral skirt electrical insulator or the like, and a guide element the assembly of the male and female contact parts for their electrical connection, this element being located substantially in the middle part of the connector and therefore of said contact parts, said guide member consisting of an electrical insulating tip formed on one contact parts and an electrical insulating sleeve complementary, formed on the other contact part and intended to receive the end piece, said end piece and socket electrical insulators extending respectively for each contact part, relative to their actual contact said, at a determined height, substantially at the level of the end of their peripheral and functional skirt respectively of the distance between the skirt and the element of corresponding guidance.
- Said height of the guide element relative to the contact is more important, in a ratio of 1.15 to 3, that the distance between the skirt and the guide element corresponding, which is of the order of 7 to 9 mm.
- the connector advantageously has a symmetry axial and the actual contact of each part of contact is respectively a plane metal ring, externally delimited by a circular peripheral skirt insulating and internally by an insulating guide element cylindrical in central position. Said distance between the skirt and the guide element is therefore constant, as is the depth of the contact relative to the opening face of the corresponding contact part.
- the connector is advantageously with type connection screwed, bearing on one of the contact parts an end piece insulating guide, threaded on at least part of its length and engaging in internal tapping complementary to the other contact part, coaxially with its insulating sleeve.
- the contact locking element can also be formed with internal axial hook pin on one of the contact parts, operating by snapping into a complementary bore of the other contact part with tight reminder of the contacts, or with external hooking arms of one of the contact parts on the other.
- the contact part carrying the insulating guide tip is advantageously a movable male part, the part female thus carrying the insulating sleeve, and the screw connection of the connector is achieved by a external operation of a screw on the driving male part the mouthpiece.
- Said guide element of the assembly (end piece or socket) can be mounted sliding inwards, being recalled outwards at a determined taring effort, (1-10 daN) sufficient to prevent any intrusion accidental finger or tool by a person.
- said skirt protecting the periphery of the contact itself can be slidably mounted towards the interior, being recalled outward to an effort of determined calibration (1-10 daN).
- the female contact part is part of a base box and comprises an envelope skirt of the contact, mass and fixed and a movable insulating sleeve
- the male contact part has a cylindrical skirt sliding and an insulating tip rotatably mounted in position fixed height, so that at the connection of these parts for putting the connector into service, the skirt sliding come wear with hindsight on the mass skirt of the female part or on its actual contact and the socket of the female part door with recoil on the contact proper of the male contact element.
- Only one of the skirt or guide elements of a same contact part can be sliding.
- the electrical connector shown has a part movable male contact or plug 1 and a contact part fixed female or base 3 secured to an electrical box of connection to the electrical network "E.D.F”. (no represented).
- the male contact part 1 is in the shape of an inverted L, comprising an elongated cylindrical front part 5 (branch long L) and a rear part 7 corresponding to the small branch of L, arranged transversely to the elongated part 5.
- This insulated sheathed rear part 7 is connected to an electrical cable 9.
- a screw operation 11 Coaxially to the part front 5 and on its rear part is arranged a screw operation 11. This screw is integral with a guide tip middle insulator 13 opening onto the front face 15.
- the front part 5 includes a metal sheath internal conductor 17, made of copper, connected to the rear branch 7, and an external electrical insulating sleeve 19 or skirt, which is slidably mounted on the internal conductive sheath 17.
- the contact proper 21 which consists of a coaxial plane ring at sheath and of enlarged diameter relative thereto.
- This annular contact can naturally have a variable geometric configuration section.
- a helical spring 23 is mounted between the sheath 17 and the sleeve 19, applying by its ends, respectively on a front surface 25 of the sleeve and on a rear ring 27 fixed on the sheath, substantially in its middle part. In doing so, the spring 23 maintains the sleeve 19 at a determined taring force for example 5 daN, substantially at the level of the insulating end piece 13 (fixed in height), allowing its rear sliding at assembly on the female contact part 3, with reminder forward.
- a determined taring force for example 5 daN
- the screw 11 which extends in length in one or two parts up to the end piece 13 has a threaded portion 29 in rear of its electrical insulating end stud 31, intended to engage in a complementary thread 33 of the female part 3.
- the screw is therefore driven with the end piece 13, in order to tightly connect the part male contact 1 on the female contact part 3.
- Contact 21 is inserted in the front part 5 at a depth of about 21 mm relative to the end of the sleeve (its skirt) and that of the nozzle, this and the sleeve being arranged with their end substantially on the same front plane.
- the nozzle 13 positioned in the axis of the front part 5 has an insulating nipple diameter 31 of 9 mm.
- the distance between the stud 31 and the sleeve 19 is 7.5 mm, at any radial point, thus preventing any intrusion accidental finger contact up to contact level 21.
- the female contact part 3 arranged under the part of male contact 1 in FIG. 1, is complementary to this last, receiving it axially at the connection connector. It has a plate of front contact 35 in copper revealing a flat ring of contact 37 inserted between an insulating cylindrical socket axial 39 and a front axial insulating skirt 41 enveloping the plate 35.
- the socket 39 has an internal diameter slightly greater than that of the end piece 13 and guides the introduction of the latter to the electrical connection of the connector.
- a cylindrical insulating rear body 43 applied to the rear face of the contact plate 35, and on which is axially mounted (fixed with screws rear 45) a cylindrical metal barrel 47.
- this barrel 47 is formed said thread 33 receiving the tip 13 and the threaded part 29 of the screw 11 of the male part, the rear of the socket 39.
- It is slidably mounted in the rear body 43, around the rear central barrel 47.
- a helical spring 49 applied by its ends, respectively, at the base of a bole 51 and on a external enlarged seat 53 of the socket (substantially in its middle part) allows the recall of it towards the front, substantially at the level of the skirt 41 and at an effort set taring.
- the distance between the socket and the skirt (8.5 mm), as well as the relatively deep contact at the front (12 mm) and the taring as a reminder of the socket (5 daN) prevent accidental intrusion of a finger or of a tool by one person.
- the connector coupling is shown in the figure 2. It is obtained in a simple way by introducing axially the male contact part 1 in the female part 3, with introduction of the nozzle 13 into the socket 39. The part threaded 29 coming into contact with the internal thread 33, the screw 11 is rotated by means of an operating key acting on its upper head and tightened until it locks. In doing so, the contacts (21, 37) of the male parts and female, complementary to each other, apply firmly on each other, the socket 39 receding on contact 21 of the male part and likewise the sleeve 19, inserted into the skirt 41 of the base comes back on contact 37 of the female part.
- the socket can be mounted on the mobile male part and vice versa the female part.
- these elements can be mobile or fixed, as well as the skirts as mentioned in the preamble part of the text.
- the movable contact part or plug is made up of two parts, a front part 1 a comprising the plug body and a rear part 1 b attached to the cable, the front part 1 a being rotatably mounted on the rear part 1b with a rotary contact by strips 50 between them, this arrangement authorizing the free movement of the cable 9 attached to the plug without acting on the plug body at the risk of loosening the screwed connection of the plug relative to the socket with serious damage on contact.
