Definitions
- the present invention relates to the terminals of urban cleanliness including a hollow chest fixed to the ground and containing at least one basket open upwards, the trunk comprising, on the one hand, a base and, on the other hand, a superstructure located above ground level, this superstructure itself comprising a peripheral side wall and a top which is pierced with at least one opening of waste collection located above the or each trash, the trunk superstructure further comprising at least one movable panel which can be opened to allow manual removal of the basket by an operator.
- a urban cleaning station is known from GB 2 131 281 A.
- the overall dimensions horizontal of a cleanliness terminal from 30 to 100 liters, even if isolated, may be too large.
- the object of the present invention is in particular to overcome these drawbacks.
- a terminal of cleanliness of the genre in question is essentially characterized in that the base delimits a partially buried bowl which opens upwards inside the superstructure of the trunk, and in that the basket has an interior volume between 30 and 100 liters and a bottom which is received in said bowl and which is located below ground level, the base being waterproof and having a peripheral upper edge disposed at a height greater than 5 cm above the ground.
- part of the volume of waste storage is located below the level of ground, so that it is possible to reduce the dimensions horizontal of the cleanliness terminal superstructure thereby limiting the size of this terminal on the public highway.
- the subject of the invention is also a set of urban sanitation stations including at minus two urban cleanliness terminals as defined above, which each include a unique basket and which are immediately adjacent to each other.
- the lateral access opening of each of the urban cleanliness terminals is then directed towards the outside of the assembly and, when the basket of each terminal is in the form of a boot, the base enlarged plinth protrudes horizontally below from ground level only to the outside of the set, this base having a horizontal size which, towards the other cleaning point (s) constituting the whole, does not exceed the size horizontal of the trunk superstructure.
- the set 1 of urban cleanliness terminals includes three urban cleaning stations 2 (bins for places public) which each present a substantially form of angular sector of approximately 120 °, these cleanliness terminals urban being juxtaposed so that the whole 1 has a substantially cylindrical overall shape of revolution.
- the invention is however not limited to a set 1 which would have a cylindrical shape of revolution, or to cleanliness terminals 2 which would present a horizontal section in the shape of a sector angular.
- each of the cleanliness terminals 2 could if necessary have a horizontal section substantially square or rectangular, or even circular or elliptical, or others.
- set 1 could be made up of a different number of urban cleaning stations three, these limits can be for example the number two, four or more.
- the set 1 of urban cleanliness kiosks can present for example a outside diameter of the order of 80 cm or less (above from ground level), and a height above ground of the order of 90 cm.
- each cleanliness terminal urban 2 includes a hollow chest 3 which contains a basket 4 open upwards.
- the trunk 3 first of all includes a base 5 partially buried in the ground 6, base which can be made for example of prefabricated reinforced concrete or made of synthetic material.
- This base 5 is surmounted by a superstructure generally metallic which comprises, on the one hand, a side wall 7 and, on the other hand, a top 8 pierced with a waste reception opening 9 located above the basket 4.
- the side wall 7 is fixed to the base 5, and this side wall has a door 10 pivotally mounted on the fixed part of said side wall by means of a vertical hinge 11. This door is normally kept closed by means of a lock 12 actuable by an operator using a special key.
- the door 10 thus defines an access opening lateral which is directed towards the outside of the assembly 1 of cleanliness terminals and which allows an operator to manually take out basket 4 to empty it.
- This door 10 preferably represents the assembly on the arcuate side of the side wall 7, and the fixed part of this side wall then represents the two sides of said side wall which are substantially planes and which form a corner towards the inside of the whole 1 of cleanliness terminals.
- At least part of the top 8 of the trunk superstructure is integral with door 10, so as to clear the space located above basket 4 when door 10 is open: this facilitates handling of the basket 4 when an operator must remove it from the trunk 3.
- the base 5 of each of these cleanliness terminals is partially buried, and this base delimits internally a bowl 13 open upwards which receives the part bottom of the basket 4, so that the bottom 4a of this basket is located below ground level.
- this base in order to avoid water coming in the interior of the bowl 13 formed by the base 5, this base is waterproof and the side wall of this base goes up to a peripheral upper edge 5a located for example at a height greater than 5 cm, and preferably between 10 and 15 cm, above the level soil 6.
- the basket 4 is preferably waterproof, or lined inside with a waterproof bag, so to prevent liquids that could enter this trash (raindrops or liquid contained in globlets, bottles or boxes, etc.) do not penetrate inside the base 5.
- the height which separates the bottom 4a from the basket and the upper edge 5a of the base, when the basket rests at the bottom of this base is less than 80 cm, and advantageously less than 60 cm, so that limit the lifting movement that a operator to take the basket out of the cleanliness 2.
- the basket 4 can advantageously have substantially a form of boot.
- this basket extended, below ground level 6, by a hollow projecting end 4b which extends radially outward from set 1 of terminals cleanliness, i.e. only on the side of the basket 4 which is situated vertically in correspondence with the door 10.
- the base 5 has an enlarged base 5b which makes projecting radially outward, i.e. also in vertical correspondence with door 10, the parts of the base 5 which are not located in correspondence with door 10 being all included at inside the horizontal bulk of the wall side 7 of the trunk.
- This enlarged base 5b is entirely located below from ground level 6, the base 5 having elsewhere, above ground level 6, part narrowed 5c located inside the side wall 7.
- this basket is shaped to be able to tilt out of the boot 3 at the same time as it is raised, as shown in dashed lines in Figure 2.
- the protruding end 4b of the basket may thus go into the free space located inside the narrowed upper part 5c of the base.
- the radially inner part of the bottom 4a of the basket, vertical section view, has a rounded shape, and that the radially outer part of the basket located above the projecting end 4b present locally a hollow 4c at the level of the narrowed part 5c from the base 5.
- the urban cleaning station 101 (bin for public places) includes in all cases a safe 102 having a base 103 which can be produced for example in precast reinforced concrete which is sealed in the ground 104.
- This base is surmounted by a superstructure in general metallic which comprises on the one hand a side wall 105 and on the other hand a top 106 pierced with several openings 107 for receiving waste.
- the chest 102 can present for example an outside diameter of the order of 80 cm or less and a height above the ground of around 90 cm.
- the trunk 102 has a shape substantially cylindrical of revolution centered on an axis of vertical symmetry, but this form is not limiting: the trunk 102 could have a horizontal section elliptical, square, rectangular, etc. although a circular horizontal section of the trunk is however favorite.
- the trunk 102 defines a hollow interior volume which receives several baskets 108 open upwards, arranged each under an opening 107 for receiving waste from way to collect this waste.
- These baskets each have a volume interior between 30 and 100 liters and preferably between approximately 60 and 80 liters, so that it can be manipulated manually by a single operator, even when they are full.
- the shape of the baskets 108 is indifferent provided that these baskets occupy substantially all of the interior volume of the boot 102.
- the baskets 108 are identical and each have a substantially horizontal section in the form of an angular sector.
- the boot 102 has at least one movable panel which is normally closed but which can be opened by releasing an access opening for allow an operator to manually exit the baskets 108 out of the trunk, in particular by using handles 109 provided in said baskets. The operator can thus successively empty the different baskets 108, then put them back in the trunk 102.
- the interior of the chest 102 is subdivided into three delimited 115 housings by three radial partitions 113 which are connected between them by a central post 114 materializing an axis vertical X.
- the side wall 105 of the trunk is fixed on the two thirds of its periphery, while a third of its periphery is constituted by a door 140 which is normally kept closed by a latch 111 and which can be open by pivoting around a vertical hinge 141 connected to the fixed part of the side wall 105.
- 108 baskets and partitions 113 are rotatably mounted around the axis vertical X, which allows to successively present the different baskets 108 in front of the released opening through gate 140.
- the central post 114 as well as the partitions 113 are integral with a plate 142 on which rest the baskets 108, and the assembly is mounted rotating inside the boot 102.
- the boot 102 further includes a device indexing 143 which retains the rotary assembly 113, 114, 142 in one of its three angular positions where the baskets 108 are located below the openings 107, this indexing device 143 does not release the whole rotary only when operated with sufficient force by an operator.
- the device indexing 143 can be made up of a set of two 144 balls which are mounted with clearance inside of two bores 145a of a block 145 integral with the part side wall 105, and which are stressed by two springs 146 to a position where they abut against an openwork closure plate 145b by projecting a projection beyond this plate 145b towards the inside of the trunk 102.
- the two balls 144 surround one of the partitions 113 of the mobile assembly and interfere with the radial end of this partition: to rotate the rotary assembly 113, 114, 142, the operator must therefore exert a couple on this set sufficient to fit one of the two balls 144 to the inside of block 145 against spring stress 146 correspondent.
- these blocking means can be constituted by a flange 147 projecting substantially radially inward from the edge free vertical of door 140, this ledge 147 coming place between a partition 113 and a basket 108 when door 140 is closed.
- the indexing device 143 could be removed, the flange 147 then constituting alone the means of indexing and blocking, since this flange 147 prevents the door 140 from closing if the rotary assembly 113, 114, 142 is not placed in such a way so that each basket 108 is located below an opening 107 for receiving waste.
- the bottom 108a of the baskets 109, as well as the tray 142, are located below the level from the ground 104, which makes it possible to use baskets 108 sufficient volume while limiting the outside diameter trunk 102.
- the lower part of the baskets 109 is arranged inside a recess in the base 103, which base has a side wall which goes up to an upper edge 103a located for example at a height greater than 5 cm and preferably included between 10 and 15 cm above ground level 104: thus, runoff does not get inside from base 103.
- the baskets 108 are preferably waterproof or lined with a waterproof bag to prevent liquids from entering said baskets (raindrops or contained liquid in cups, bottles or boxes, etc.) do not penetrate not inside the base 103.
- the door 140 is integral with a part 148 of the top 106 of the trunk, which forms an angular sector of approximately 120 °.
- door 140 When door 140 is open, it therefore releases also substantially all of the space above the basket 108 positioned opposite said door.
- This basket 108 can thus be easily removed lifting it vertically until its bottom 108a arrives above the upper edge 3a of the base, then moving the basket horizontally outwards from the trunk.
- the height which separates the bottom 108a from the basket and the upper edge 103a of the base, when the basket rests on the tray 142 is less than 80 cm, and advantageously less than 60 cm, so as to limit the lifting movement which is the most painful for the operator.
- the top 106 of the trunk could be formed in one piece, in which case door 140 does not would not be attached to a part of this top 106: in in this case, the baskets 108 must have a suitable shape to allow a tilting outwards of the trunk through the space freed by door 140, then a biased movement towards the outside of the trunk 102 in order to get out of this chest.
- the wall side 105 is again provided with a single door 150 which represents substantially a quarter of the periphery of this side wall, since the baskets are at number of four in this example.
- This door 150 is normally kept closed by a latch 111 and it can be opened by pivoting around a hinge vertical 151 connected to the rest of the side wall 105.
- the baskets 108 are this time fixed relative to the ground, while the side wall 105 and the top 106 of the trunk are rotatably mounted around a central vertical axis X materialized by a post 114: when door 150 is open, we can thus successively bring the opening left free by this door in front of each basket 108, in order to exit this trash bin 102 to empty it.
- means are further provided for indexing the relative angular positions of the side wall 105 compared to baskets 108 and to prevent any rotation of the side wall 105 when the door 150 is closed.
- these means are constituted by a flange 152 which extends substantially radially inward from the edge free vertical of door 150 and which enters between two adjacent baskets 108 when door 150 is closed.
- the bottom 108a of the baskets 108 is advantageously located below the ground level 104, and door 150 is preferably secured to part of the top 106 of the trunk which represents substantially an angular sector of 90 °, so to free up the space above one of the baskets 108 when door 150 is open.
- baskets 108 can advantageously substantially have a boot shape, the base 108a of these baskets being extended, below the level from the ground 104, by a hollow projecting end 108b which extends radially outward.
- Each of said ends 108b is engaged in a housing 103b which preferably its own, this housing being formed to the interior of an enlarged base of the base 103, located below from ground level.
- these baskets are shaped to be able to tilt out of the chest 102 at the same time as they are raised, as shown in phantom in Figure 8: the ends protruding 108b baskets can thus pass in the free space located inside the game emerged from the base 103, of relatively narrow diameter.
- the radially inner part of the bottom 108a of the baskets is rounded and the radially outer part of the baskets above the protruding end 108a locally has a hollow 108c at the level of the part emerged from base 103.
