Definitions

  • the invention relates to a knee protector according to the preamble of Claim 1.
  • Such a knee pad is from DE 43 26 433 C1, known from WO a protective section covering the knee there is a half-shell with a soft cushion, and on this holding sections are eye-shaped in the form of fastening tabs, that are resiliently expandable.
  • this object is according to the characterizing part of protection claim 1 solved.
  • the basic idea of the invention is therefore that the holding sections are designed so that deformation areas are defined as the torsion area and spreading area, which is the increase / decrease of the calf muscle adjust in diameter and angle, so that a flat support of the holding sections with as even as possible Pressure distribution over the entire area under all "operating conditions" the knee protector is guaranteed.
  • this is provided in both Holding sections the torsion area by reducing the cross section of the holding sections in shape to realize a slot-like recess, so that by the this results in elongated webs twisting the holding sections around its longitudinal axis, which is easy Change of the contact angle according to the change in shape of the surface of the calf muscle, while maintaining the contact pressure and its even distribution.
  • the spreading function So the adaptation to different diameters of the The calf muscle is therefore reliable and, in turn, more extensive Keeping the surface pressure constant ensures that the cross section the holding sections extend from the protective section to the end of the holding sections continuously decreased towards.
  • groove-like Reductions in wall thickness are particularly noticeable Define pronounced spreading areas so that the surface course of the holding sections in its dynamic adaptation to the Surface course of the changing calf muscle can be optimized.
  • the knee protector consists of the illustrated embodiment a protective section 10 serving as knee protection, which essentially the knee is covered in the joint area and in a known manner for this purpose essentially adapted to the shape of the knee on its inside is.
  • FIG. 3 shows the structure with the protective section 10 in FIG middle area and the two laterally extending Holding sections 20 and 30, the leg of the wearer in the upper Enclose calf area.
  • the two holding sections run relative to the protective section 10 the two holding sections obliquely downwards, i.e. one imaginary longitudinal axis X-X through the holding sections (or corresponding plane perpendicular to the drawing plane) forms with the Normal N on the main plane E of the protective section 10 one acute angle ⁇ ).
  • the peculiarity of the solution according to the invention essentially exists in the design of the two tab-like holding sections 20 and 30, such that on the one hand a secure bracket the protective section 10 is guaranteed in the knee area, namely both in the standing position and in the knee position of the wearer, on the other hand, the shape and Size changes of the calf muscle W a correspondingly adjusted Deformation of the holding sections causes an essentially cause constant holding force, in particular the rear Area of the holding sections over the entire surface with essentially homogeneous pressure distribution on the calf muscle W
  • a torsion area 21 and 31 is realized in that in the cross-section of the holding sections slowly tapering towards the rear 20.30 introduced two parallel slots 22.23 and 32.33 are that have the effect that the calf muscle W acting rear areas of the holding sections by one Torsion axis are rotatable in the longitudinal axis of the holding sections.
  • This first possibility of movement is essentially adapted here the change in shape of the calf muscle; if the user kneels, arises from the increase in the calf muscle below the Holding sections a larger increase in circumference than above Holding portions.
  • the second measure for optimal movement adjustment of the holding sections to the anatomical changes in the calf muscle in that between the torsion area 21 approximately in the area where the calf muscle W ends, an expansion area 24, 34 is introduced, of the illustrated embodiment by three perpendicular to Longitudinal axis extending troughs 25,35 is formed.
  • the cross section of the holding sections continuously from the area of the protective section to tapered rear end portion of the holding portions so that the Spreading movement, as shown in dash-dotted lines in Figure 3 at the holding portion 20 is indicated, preferably in the expansion area 24 and areas of the holding sections adjoining to the rear takes place.
  • the spreading section therefore acts as a kind of "widened joint" that accounts for a large part of the volume change of the calf muscle W when the user kneels down.
  • a soft upholstery is attached in the torsion and expansion area, as in the area of the holding section 30 in the sectional view 3 and is shown in section in FIGS. 4A and 4B is shown:
  • FIG. 4A The variant shown in FIG. 4A is a Foam molded part, which has rear knobs or notches expediently in the two slots 32, 33 of the associated one Holding section 30 can be inserted or locked, so that it can also be easily replaced and upholstery parts different Thickness can be easily attached.
  • the setting of the thickness that is, the distance A between the Inside of the holding section and the support surface of the upholstery part can also be realized ( Figure 4B) that the Cushion part 36A is held in a channel-shaped bracket part 36B, whose legs are profiled so that these legs in two or several positions on the inner flanks of the remaining material webs engages in the torsion area so that different thicknesses A can be adjusted by simply moving them.
  • FIGS. 5A and B there is the protective section from a trough-shaped bowl 100, in the lower Inside a shallow depression 101 is introduced, which is in the Region of the lower end of the shell 100 to a channel 102 recessed so that the approximately L-shaped in FIG. 5A Cross-sectional design of the deepening is created.
  • This deepening 101 / channel 102 runs around the entire width of the shell 100 and is dimensioned in terms of its depth so that there the one-piece plastic bracket 200 formed holding sections can be positively inserted.
  • shell 100 and Plastic bracket 200 can be applied permanently, e.g. by Glue or also removable, which is the simple exchange of individual Components allows (e.g. inserting a new shell 100 in Wear).
  • FIG. 7 shows another alternative of the assignment between Protective section and holding sections, namely gluing a plastic bracket 220 into a corresponding recess 121 a shell 120 by means of an adhesive tape 400.
  • Fig. 8 shows a further embodiment in that the protective section 10 and holding section 20/30 (however they constructively in individual trained and connected)) a common foam 50 are covered, which also the Protection section 10 can form, and thus the entire surface of the Knee pads.
  • This configuration offers the possibility the materials of the protective section and holding sections on their to coordinate specific functions, e.g. Durability, mechanical Stability, elastic properties, while the foam 50 materially, for example, to the desired ones Surface properties can be matched as light Cleaning options, color design options, etc.
  • This variant can also be used with cushion inserts, for example of the type shown in FIG. 3.
  • a preferred design of the protective section is in the figures 10 and 11.
  • the one facing the knee Surface of the protective portion 10 i.e. the inside
  • This special structure offers Some advantages over a smooth surface:
  • the slip resistance between the knee and the protective section is essential increased and an unwanted "slipping" of the knee largely avoided.
  • such profiling creates partial Clearances in which the folds of the leg clothing can escape thereby avoiding pressure points on the knee. Farther through the free spaces ventilation of the leg clothing enables and thus reduces the tendency to "sweat".
  • FIG. 9 finally shows a variant of the embodiment according to FIG. 8, where a foam 51 only forms the protective section 10 or encloses this, as well as the connection areas of the holding sections Includes 20/30; here the foam filling 51 (as well as the Foaming 50 of FIG. 8) primarily the function of the holder and Fixing the holding sections on the protective section (so that additional Measures as under the fig. 5-7 described, can be omitted).
  • FIGS. 5-9 described embodiments is therefore a user-specific design of the Knee pads, for example for work purposes, but also for Sports purposes possible with simple technological means, whereby also a variety of attractive design options in color and design is possible.
