Abstract

The workbench comprises a working chamber (2) accessible from outside via at least one access opening (4), a vent for extracting air contaminated with harmful matter from the chamber and a controller (10) for at least one mode of the workbench. The access opening can be closed and the controller contains test devices by means of which the authority of a person to access the chamber is validated. Opening of the closed access opening can be triggered depending on access authority validation.
