Hinge-lid box for cigarettes (29) or other articles, comprising a box part (10) and a lid (11), which is connected in a pivotable manner to the box part in the region of a box rear wall (13) and has a lid inner tab (36) on an inner side of a lid front wall (17), and having a collar (23), of which the collar front wall (24) is connected to the box part (10) in the region of a box front wall (12), it being the case that the collar (23) projects out of the box part (10) by way of a top collar part (28) and the collar front wall (24) has a recess (37) which is open in the upward direction, which bounds a collar strip (39) above a closing edge (31), formed by the box front wall (12), and in the region of which is arranged a closing lug (35), which is folded over against the collar front wall (24) on the outside and, in the closed position of the lid (11), engages with the lid inner tab (36), characterized by the following features:

a) a boundary edge of the recess (37) runs in a curved manner with a transversely directed edge section (38) in the central region,

b) the closing lug (35) is shorter than the recess (37) and/or than the edge section (38) of the recess (37),

c) the lid inner tab (36) is connected to the lid front wall (17) by gluing and, in the central region, has a depression (43), of which the dimension in the longitudinal direction of the lid inner tab (36) is somewhat larger than the corresponding dimension of the closing lug (35), such that, in the closed position of the lid (11), the closing lug enters into the depression (43) of the lid inner tab (36),

d) in the closed position of the lid (11), a free supporting edge (45) of the closing lug (35) butts against a free mating edge (46) of an interlocking part (44) which is formed by the lid inner tab (36) in the region of the recess (37).
Hinge-lid box according to Claim 1, characterized in that the closing lug (35) is connected to the collar strip (39) via a folding line (41), which runs in extension of the edge section (38) bounding the recess (37) .
Hinge-lid box according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the dimension, namely height (40), of the closing edge (35) and the corresponding dimension, namely transverse dimension (42), of the interlocking part (44) of the lid inner tab (36) together correspond approximately to the width of the collar strip (39).
Hinge-lid box according to Claim 1 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the lid inner tab (36) is connected to the lid front wall (17) over the entire surface area by gluing, preferably by spots of glue (47), a plurality of, preferably three, spots of glue being arranged in a row one beside the other in a region of the interlocking part (44).
Hinge-lid box according to Claim 1 or one of the further claims, characterized in that, in the region of a downwardly directed tongue (49), the collar (23), which comprises a separate blank, has a cutout (50) which corresponds, in respect of size and arrangement, to the closing lug (35).
