- Varnishing machine in which the workpieces are passed between a varnishing cylinder (15), which has a casing (20) consisting of rubber or some other resilient material, and a counter-pressure cylinder (14), a first adjusting device (19) being provided for the pressure between the varnishing cylinder (15) and the counter-pressure cylinder (14), and a second adjusting device (22) being provided for the pressure between the varnishing cylinder (15) and a varnish feed roller (18) of a varnishing unit (23), in which device the two end bearings of the varnishing cylinder (15) or of the counter-pressure cylinder (14) are each disposed in an auxiliary side member (10) which is pivotably mounted on the machine frame (11), for pivoting each auxiliary side member (10) an actuator is provided which is hinged with its one end to the machine frame (11) and with its other end to the auxiliary side member (10), the two end bearing supports (17) of the varnish feed roller (18) being each pivotable by means of a respective actuator hinged to the machine frame (11) or auxiliary side member (10) and at its other end to the bearing support (17), characterised in that the actuators are motor spindles (13, 21) and the axial pressures occurring at the four motor spindles (13, 21) can in each case be detected by respectively one pressure sensor (31, 33) and be adjusted by a pressure regulator (32, 24), connected to the pressure sensor (31, 33), to a pre-selectable constant value.
- Varnishing machine according to claim 1, characterised in that the entire varnishing unit (23) is attached to the two pivotable bearing supports (17) of the varnish feed roller (18).
- Varnishing machine according to claim 2, characterised in that in the varnishing unit (23) the varnish feed roller (18) and an additional varnish roller (24) pressed against the latter are used to delimit a varnish reservoir (25).
- Varnishing machine according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the two pivotable bearing supports (17) of the varnish feed roller (18) and the two motor spindles (21) hinged to the machine frame (11) or auxiliary side member (10) and at the other end to the bearing support (17), apart from being adjusted for the pressure between the varnishing cylinder (15) and varnish feed roller (18) are set up to expose the varnishing cylinder (15).
- Varnishing machine according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the swivel position of the varnishing cylinder (15) or of the counter-pressure cylinder (14) or of the varnish feed roller (18) is made capable of being detected by a path sensor (35) and the position signal of the path sensor (35), when the pressure is adjusted in a speed regulator (36), is used as a regulating variable for a peripheral speed of the varnishing cylinder (15) conforming with the counter-pressure cylinder (14).
- Use of the varnishing machine according to one of claims 1 to 5 for varnishing on one side platelike or lamellar workpieces formed from sheet metal or cardboard or paper.
