Abstract

The disclosed training device is comprised of two opposite horizontal arms (2) hinged to a frame (1) which has a third vertically hinged arm (7) and a lower cross-beam (10) whereon are arranged two telescopically floating cushions (11) and a third hit cushion (8) is provided between the arms (2). The frame can be fixed to a wall, and the hinged arms (2, 7) are provided with position return means (4) as well as with hit cushions (3, 9).

Description

    OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
  • In accordance with its name this invention refers to a martial arts training device although it may furthermore be used for boxing training and generally for any type of fighting discipline in which any part of the human body acts as a ramming device.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Boxing punching base are already well known, as well as pads supported by an auxiliary one and is also well known the use of boards and other elements upon which the person undergoing training discharges his hits or marks them, as in the case of karate.
  • Notwithstanding this, there is no prior knowledge of any device on which hits may be discharge or may otherwise be marked by any type of fighting method and by any body part such as, for example, fists, hand edge, feet elbows, back hand, shoulders of head, that is to say, all the means by which a person may attack or defend himself from attack during a sport fight.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The invention proposes a martial arts training device also useful to provide training for any other type of sporting discipline such as for example, boxing.
  • The development of the invention starts off a frame fixed to a wall or to a strong vertical support, the frame has two arms articulated to corresponding axis and ending on pads.
  • Each one of the arms is joined at its end to a traction or any other type of spring, it may also be a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder, so that the arms have positional recovery capacity and remain on line to receive hits and between them is arranged a fixed hitting pad under which there is a third arm on an upward extension of the frame ending on a hitting pad provided, as the previous ones, with spring action hit recovery capacity.
  • Further hitting pads are fitted lower down on both sides, fixed or mobile similarly to the upper arms.
  • The fixed central pad and the lower pads may also be telescopically arranged on their supports in such a way that they yield when hit in any way, even if slightly, so that, similarly to the articulated arms, sensors may be fitted to them to enable a sound, light or combined signal to issue whenever contact is established so that when undergoing martial arts training mistakes are then easily observed upon indicating hits when those should not reach the opponent.
  • DRAWING DESCRIPTION
  • On the accompanying drawing sheet may be observed a perspective view of the assembly, on which partial cutaways have been effected in order to show internal parts, this drawing is an example of execution that does not limit the possibilities of the invention and must therefore be taken as merely illustrative.
  • PREFERRED EXECUTION OF THE INVENTION
  • In accordance with the fore going description, the execution starts off a frame 1 where two arms 2 ending on hitting pads 3 are horizontally articulated.
  • Each one of the arms 2 are joined, as shown on the drawing, to a spring 4 that conveys recovery capacity upon it.
  • The spring 4 may be replaced for a pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder or any other combination that would allow positional recovery; the tops 5 act as dampeners.
  • In accordance with the fore going, the lower extension 6 of the frame supports a third articulated arm 7 that through the action of a spring recovers its position similarly to the arms 2.
  • A hitting pad 8 located between the arms 2 is to be hit with the fists; the pad 9 on arms 7 is to be hit by fists and feet. So are the upper ones.
  • On the lower cross piece 10 of the frame may be observed two hitting pads 11 that are fixed although may also be telescopic and are used for semi-turning hits, back hits or side hits.
  • It is not considered necessary to extend this description any further to enable any expert in the art to put into practice the object of the invention using the above description.
