Abstract

Die mit Waren beladenen Paletten (1,2,3 und 4) werden mit einer Ummantelung (5) aus einer Kunststoffolie versehen, wobei die vier Seitenflächen mit jeweils zwei Kunststoffolienbahnen (6,7) ummantelt werden, die von Rollen (8,9) abgezogen und an den freien Endkanten durch eine Schweißnaht (10) miteinander verbunden werden. An den quer zur Transportrichtung beim Ummanteln sich erstreckenden Stirnseiten sind Schweißnähte (18,19,20) vorgesehen, die außermittig angeordnet sind, so daß der mittlere Bereich der Stirnseiten der Ummantelung vorne und/oder hinten von Schweißnähten freibleibt. Im mittleren Bereich der Stirnseiten der Ummantelung können Versandaufkleber gut sichtbar angebracht werden, so daß sie auch von einem automatischen Lesegerät erkennbar sind.
