Definitions

  • a metering device for powdered detergent which first conveys the powder from one or more storage containers by means of discharge screws into a metering container and then pneumatically into the washing machine from there (DE 39 07 361 AI). Direct dosing from the sales container into the machine is not carried out here either.
  • a desired concentration of cleaning-active substance is set in the washing liquor circulated in the spray arms of a commercial dishwasher for the cleaning of the tableware.
  • not all soiling can be completely removed with the usual concentration ranges, so that a so-called basic cleaning with an increased concentration of cleaning-active substance is usually carried out in a cycle of about 4 weeks.
  • a highly concentrated cleaning solution has more than 0.5% by weight of cleaning-active substance.
  • liquid cleaning agents can already be provided by the manufacturer in such a highly concentrated form
  • powdery cleaning agents first have to be prepared in a stock solution container for such a highly concentrated solution and kept ready for the rinsing process. This additional work step when using particle-shaped cleaning agents entails an undesirable outlay.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of making it possible, with the method of the type mentioned at the outset, easily and economically to precisely meter detergent directly from the sales container into the dishwasher without major changes to the overall method. Retrofitting existing dishwashers should also be possible in a simple and inexpensive way.
  • This object is achieved in that the particulate cleaning agent is sucked in from a cleaning agent container arranged outside the dishwasher and pneumatically into a washing machine.

  • the invention is particularly advantageous for use in a method for machine cleaning of tableware in a commercial dishwasher with one or more washing zones or cycles, in which the tableware is first subjected to a rough cleaning by spraying with water.
  • the use of the method according to the invention makes it possible, when using particulate detergent, to produce a highly concentrated detergent solution on the tableware without the need to prepare a base liquor beforehand.
  • Pneumatically conveyed, particle-shaped cleaning agent is added to the utensils that are still wet from the previous rough clearing with water before entering a further washing zone or before the start of a further washing cycle, e.g. B. sprayed in the intermediate zone between two wash tanks.

  • injectors which also include injectors that are to be introduced directly into the powder structure and that serve as the mouthpiece of a suction lance, are possible. It is therefore proposed that the powder be sucked in with an injector operated with compressed air, passed through the injector and conducted into the machine from the pressure side of the injector. Good extraction of the air from the machine is important here, since the amount of air introduced with the powder is relatively high.
