Der Schalter weist ein rohrförmiges Gehäuse 1 auf, das durch einen radial nach aussen wegragenden, zur Gebäudelängsachse A axialen, flanschartigen Kragen 2 in einen vorderen Abschnitt 3 und in einen hinteren Abschnitt 4 unterteilt ist. Die Aussenseiten der Abschnitte 3 und 4 bilden zur Gehäuseachse A zylindrische Mantelflächen, wobei der Durchmesser der Mantelfläche des vorderen Abschnittes 3 etwas grösser als jener der Mantelfläche des hinteren Abschnittes 4 sein kann. Auf der Innenseite bildet das Gehäuse 1 eine zu seiner Längsachse A konzentrische Ringrippe 5. Diese bildet eine im wesentlichen zylindrische, zur Schalterlängsachse koachsiale Führungsfläche 6, in der ein Druckhaubenträger 7 achsial verschiebbar und dank radialem Spiel um jede Querachse kippbar gelagert ist. Mit dem Druckhaubenträger 7 ist eine Druckhaube 8 grösseren Durchmessers fest verbunden, deren Sichtseite in der gezeichneten Ruhelage mit der Stirnseite 9 des Gehäuses 1 bündig ist. Die Druckhaube 8 und der Druckhaubenträger 7 bilden eine Taste 10, die mittels einer gummielastischen Ringmembrane 11 beweglich mit dem Gehäuse 1 verbunden ist. Die Rückseite der Ringrippe 5 bildet weiter eine Anschlagfläche 14, an der eine Leiterplatte 15, befestigt durch Nieten 23, spielfrei anliegt.
