Abstract

The use of a Cu alloy, of compsn. 81-88 (pref. 83-86) wt.% Cu, less than 4 (pref. 2.5-3.7) wt.% Si, balance (pref. 10-13 wt.%), Zn and impurities, for (parts of) horse bits is claimed.

Die Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung einer Kupferlegierung zur Herstellung von Pferdegebissen oder Teilen davon. Es ist bekannt, Kupferlegierungen für den Guß von Pferdegebissen bzw. deren Gebißstange zu benutzen, da Kupfer bzw. die sich bildenden Oxide oder sonstige Verbindungen die Pferde zur Kautätigkeit anregen. Die Beeinflußbarkeit der Pferde durch den Reiter, die sogenannte Durchlässigkeit und das Stellen des Pferdes an die Zügel, wird dadurch erleichtert und verbessert.The invention relates to the use of a copper alloy for the production of horse bits or parts thereof.
