Abstract

The flood barrier is made from a steel plate (1), rubber sealing profile and associated fixing bores (3). The steel plate has angled edges or swages or other reinforcements to absorb the water pressure. A circumferential rubber seal fits over the outside of the steel plate and level differences in the building walls can be reliably sealed. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a flood barrier for building openings, which is able to effectively prevent damage caused by penetrating flooding.

If floods penetrate into houses and buildings that are close to the shore and are therefore at risk, damage is caused annually, in individual cases even in the millions. However, the previously used tools, including the well-known sandbag, are only insufficiently capable of the aforementioned damage reduce or even avert it permanently.

The applicant has set itself the task of creating a practical solution to averting this danger, which is both able to effectively prevent the ingress of floods in buildings and structures, and also during the much longer period in which there is no risk of flooding, to allow normal use of the building.

In a consistent continuation of this inventive idea, the applicant had designed his flood barrier for building openings so that they could be easily and sealingly attached to building openings such as windows, doors and entrances, etc. in the event of flooding, while they were removed during the rest of the time, so that the normal normal use of the building is guaranteed.

In a further perfection of the concept of the invention, the individual barriers are designed so that they can withstand the water pressure occurring on their surface to a sufficient extent and can be reused many times.

According to the invention, the flood barrier for building openings consists of a steel plate provided with bends or sikken, an all-round, thick-walled rubber profile as a seal and the corresponding fastening bolts.

Due to the inventive design of the flood barrier for building openings, this meets all the requirements placed on itself. This design according to the invention, as well as the interaction of the individual parts, ensure, with simple practicability, such a high degree of reliable protection against flooding entering the building that of almost absolute "Security against floods" can be assumed.

1 shows the flood barrier according to the invention for building openings in supervision. The embodiment according to the invention consists of a steel plate and is shown in FIG. 1 as plate part 1.

The illustration in FIG. 2 shows the bevels 2 and the internal sealing rubber 4, with the existing difference 5 in particular between the height of the bevelling 2 and the height of the sealing rubber 4 is visible, which guarantees a perfect seal even with extreme level differences of the building walls.
