In addition to these single-tier dryer sections, there are also Dryer sections in which the paper web alternates wraps around an upper drying cylinder, and then immediately afterwards a lower drying cylinder, see above that from cylinder to cylinder alternately one and the other other side of the paper web direct cylinder contact Has.
Both types of dryer sections, so the single row like also the double row come in in the following invention Consideration.
To the method mentioned at the beginning or to the input Dryer section mentioned meet the following requirements provided: The train should be at the highest Working speeds with the greatest security through the Run the machine through. As far as possible, none should Web breaks occur. The drying should be as possible be intense so that a certain one, in the paper web amount of water contained in the smallest possible way is driven out so that the overall length of the dryer section can be kept as small as possible. Except these mentioned properties - high runability and high energy density - there are other requirements to the mentioned method or to the mentioned Dryer section. It is very important for some types of paper gentle drying in order to achieve certain paper properties influence. Above all, this included avoiding Shrink folds.
In the present case, the first requirement, namely the highest possible energy density and thus the rapid and intensive drying, special attention become. A well-known means, in a small way Paper web high amounts of moisture from the paper too evaporate is the temperature of each To increase drying cylinder jackets. However, there are limits set in the strength of the material of the Drying cylinders lie. Except for the first mentioned Requirement should also meet the second requirement Attention should be paid, namely the gentle Drying.
The invention has for its object a method or a dryer section of the genera mentioned shape that the energy density and thus the intensity drying can be increased significantly without other disadvantages occur. At the same time a Procedures are specified with which sensitive Allow papers to dry particularly gently.
This task is characterized by the characteristics of the
The inventors recognized that the first subtask can be solved in that the peripheral speed at least one or more drying cylinders higher is measured as the speed of the paper web. This means that the drying cylinder in question is faster rotates as the paper web, and that therefore a certain Sliding or grinding the paper web on the outer surface of the drying cylinder concerned. They have Inventors especially recognized that this is possible without there are complications, especially not demolition of the Paper web. By applying the above Differential speed between the lateral surface of the Drying cylinder on the one hand and the paper web on the other is the amount of heat that the surface of the paper web provides, correspondingly larger than at identical speeds.
The inventors also recognized that the second Partial task can be solved in that the Peripheral speed of at least one or more Drying cylinder is dimensioned smaller than that Speed of the paper web. This means that the concerned drying cylinder rotates more slowly than that Paper web, and that again a certain amount of sliding or grinding the paper web on the outer surface of the concerned drying cylinder takes place.
Further measures may be appropriate to the invention to be able to use particularly well. So it is conceivable that Shell surfaces of the drying cylinders in question with a Coating to provide the coefficient of friction towards the paper web (or towards the support belt) belittles. It is also conceivable that Differential speed to produce only when the Dryer section for a certain period of time, e.g. a few minutes, was in operation. To transition from operating with identical Speeds to differential speeds too could facilitate, for example, in front of the position on which the paper web or the support fabric on the The outer surface of the drying cylinder runs open, a spray element be provided for applying a lubricant. This Sprayer was dispensing a spray agent at very short notice, that is the static friction between the running web on the one hand and the outer surface of the drying cylinder in question on the other hand, so that it slides. Once a sliding state has occurred, it would this can be maintained even without continuing Spray is added. The spray can either on the paper web, or on the outer surface of the Drying cylinder, or in the wedge-shaped inlet gap can be entered between these two.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing.

There are numerous variants of the invention. It can be appropriate, the one or more quick cylinder at the beginning of Dryer section, in the middle, or at the end of the dryer section to arrange. For example, that alone Drying group III with one or more high-speed cylinders be equipped, while the other dryer groups with normal running cylinders are provided.
It may also be appropriate within the individual Drying group the respective quick cylinder either on Beginning, in the middle, or at the end of the concerned Arrange dryer group.
It is crucial that according to the invention a deliberately Difference between the peripheral speed of a Drying cylinders or several drying cylinders on the one hand, and the paper web is produced. That difference only needs to be a few percent, but it can also 5%, 7%, 10%, and in extreme cases even 20 or 30% be.
