Abstract

The invention relates to a tongue (1) for a slide fastener slider, which comprises an opening (4) in which a decorative element (9), for example a button with a tail, is fixed in a simple and interchangeable manner. Description

The present invention relates to the field of zippers and more particularly to the tongue which allows the manipulation of the cursor of a zipper.

In the clothing industry we are looking to date, more and more variations and decorative elements and it is created in the field of zippers decoration demand.

So for example, we can consider garnishing the cursor with a special decorative element.

The demand for decoration, however, extends so far that it is very expensive to produce tongues provided with the requested decoration.

The present invention provides a tongue for a slider for a zipper, characterized in that it has an opening dimensioned so that it can accommodate the attachment of a decorative element as well as means making it possible to fix a simple and interchangeable way the attachment to the tongue.

So we can change in a simple way the decoration which becomes independent of the tongue.

Preferably the decorative element will be a button with a tail where an element having an attachment similar to a button of this type.

Advantageously, the fastener is fixed to the tongue by means of a simple clip.

The invention will be described below with the aid of a nonlimiting exemplary embodiment with reference to the attached figures which represent:

FIG. 1 represents a tongue 1, of a slider of a zipper, comprising an end 2 by which it will be fixed to the cursor in a conventional manner by pinching the lips 12 (FIG. 4) and an opposite end 3 by which you can grab tab 1.

Near the end 3 the tongue has an opening 4 having a substantially rectangular shape.

A notch 5 extends from the opening 4 towards the end 3 on the two surfaces of the tongue 1 and continues on the edge 6 of the tongue.

FIG. 2 shows a U-shaped clip 7 of which at least one of the branches 8 is slightly inclined towards the other branch so as to be able to exert a slight pressure. The inclination of the branch is represented by the angle α.

FIG. 3 shows a decorative element 9 having the shape of a button, the element 9 comprises a front part 10 which constitutes the decoration and a U-shaped fastener 11 secured to the front part 10.

The assembly of the element 9 to the tongue 1 is excessively simple, it suffices to place the fastener 11 in the opening 4 and to push the clip 7 into the notch 5.

FIG. 4 shows an element 9 fixed on the tongue 1.

It is obvious that the branches 8 of the clip must be dimensioned so that the ends of the branches pass through the clip 11, but do not exceed the vacuum created by the opening 4.

When one of the branches 8 of the clip is slightly inclined, the clip exerts a slight pressure on the surface of the notch 5, which prevents the element 9 from being released indeliberately.

When you want to change the decoration, you remove the clip 7, remove the element 9 and replace it with another decorative element before replacing the clip 7 in the notch 5.

The advantages of the invention are obvious; the decoration of a tongue becomes very simple; the decoration is interchangeable and can therefore be personalized. When a button with a tail is used as a decoration element, the decoration element exists and does not require any new expenditure.

It is clear that the invention is not limited to the example described and that a person skilled in the art can find other simple means to replace the clip and the notch with similar or other elements.

Claims (4)

Tab (1) for slide fastener slider, characterized in that it has an opening (4) dimensioned so that it can accommodate the fastener (11) of a decorative element (9) and that it includes means (8) for interchangeably securing the clip to the tongue. Tongue according to claim 1, characterized in that the decorative element (9) has a loop-shaped fastener (11), like a button with a tail. Tab according to claim 1, characterized in that the fixing means is a clip (7). Tongue according to one or more of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the clip is inserted into a notch (6) formed in the surface of the tongue.
