Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for fine atomization of liquids with the features of claim 1.
  • EP-A-0 477 588 discloses a storage container with a liquid which can be sounded on a device for spraying the liquid.
  • An easy to handle latching of the storage container is achieved in that the storage container is provided below the removal opening on two opposite sides, each with a guide track which has a positive gradient to the removal opening.
  • a stationary guide pin of the device presses the removal opening against the removal coupling via the guide track.
  • the unspecified drive motor is located with the pump one behind the other in a horizontal arrangement in the head of the device, while the batteries and the electronics for controlling the spray device are accommodated in the foot part of the housing.
  • An actuation button acts on the drive motor or the pump and at the same time on a locking lever of a ventilation duct.
  • a spray device is known from US Pat. No. 3,904,116, in which the batteries are accommodated in a head-side carrying bracket of the device.
  • FR-A-2.101.505 discloses an improvement in a container for atomizing liquids under gas pressure.
  • This improvement essentially consists of an elastic suction hose in the end region with a weight provided at the suction-side end opening.
  • the elastic area is bent helically or spirally to allow the container to be emptied at different spray positions in connection with the weight.
  • the drive motor and the pump connected to it which can be a gear pump or a piston pump, only a small amount of space is required in the housing. It is advantageous here that the pressure line from the pump to the spray nozzle, which is usually necessary, is omitted, since, according to the features of the invention, the pump is connected directly to the spray nozzle. At most, the nozzle receptacle must be extended towards the pump outlet.
  • the essentially horizontal arrangement of the drive motor and pump allows a favorable division of the housing by two half-shells, which is simple in terms of production technology and creates a sufficiently large and easily accessible chamber above the drive block for the accommodation of batteries or accumulators.
  • the combination switch activates two functions at the same time.
  • a switching contact or a switch or limit switch is actuated, which allows the energy supply to the drive motor of the pump and thereby acts on the operating state of the drive motor.
  • a valve is actuated in parallel, through which an air line into the receiving container of the spray liquid is opened.
  • the special suction line with the ring or bend formed in the middle or end area optimally ensures that the spray liquid is completely removed even if the receptacle is inclined or even turned upside down.
  • the device 1 for the atomization of liquids 2 consists essentially of the housing 3 for receiving the drive motor 4, the pump 5 connected to it and the spray head 6 and the receiving container 7 for the liquid 2 to be sprayed.
  • the housing 3 in FIG formed from the upper half-shell 8 and the lower half-shell 9 by a snap lock or by screwing are interconnectable.
  • the upper half-shell 8 also serves as a housing cover.
  • the housing cover 8 can accommodate the batteries or accumulators 16 as a separate component and can be fitted onto the lower housing shell 9 in this manner.
  • the slide-on takes place in the longitudinal direction of the batteries or accumulators 16 in guide grooves and guide webs or guide rails provided for this purpose, with a snap-in in the closed end position in order to hold the housing cover in the closed position.
  • the batteries or accumulators 16 are inserted captively in the housing cover 8 and are electrically connected to one another in a known series connection, for example by metal bridges.
  • the housing cover 8 is closed, there is a start and end contact with the lines 23 and 24 to the switch 22.
  • the hood 8 is designed to be detachable from the housing in another, not shown, detailed illustration and can be connected to a charger for charging the batteries 16. This makes it possible to provide several housing boxes for a device for fine atomization. In this way, accumulators 16 can be charged continuously, which leads to continuous use of the device.
  • the assembled housing 3 has a hollow cylindrical shape, which is arranged horizontally or almost horizontally, and in one piece or optionally in a foot part 10 serving as a handle also merges into several parts.
  • This base part 10 is again essentially hollow-cylindrical in shape, but is arranged approximately perpendicularly or at a small angle to the hollow cylinder of the housing 3, as illustrated in FIG. 1.
  • the drive motor 4 is in a lying arrangement in the rear part.
  • the drive motor 4 is connected by means of a flange 11 directly to the pump 5 by mechanical coupling elements known per se, which in the example shown is a gear pump.
  • the gear pump 5 can of course be replaced by other types of pumps, such as a piston pump.
  • the front pump cover 12 is connected as the pump outlet side to the spray head 6, onto which a spray nozzle 13 is screwed and held from the outside by means of a union nut 14.
  • the space 15 for receiving the batteries 16 or accumulators.
  • a total of four batteries 16 are accommodated in the space 15 in the upper half-shell 8 of the housing 3, two of which are arranged one behind the other and two lying parallel to each other.
  • the room 15 is equipped in such a way that an electrical connection of the batteries 16 or accumulators in series connection is ensured, as was explained above by way of example for FIG.
  • the foot part 10 of the housing 3 is provided at the end with a coupling piece 17 for the quick and easy connection of the receptacle 7.
  • a coupling piece 17 can with a bayonet lock, with a screw or Plug closure or the like can be equipped, whereby it is essential to ensure a liquid-tight connection, which can be achieved, for example, by adding a seal or an O-ring.
  • Such connections are already known in the prior art and therefore need not be explained in detail here.
  • a combination switch 18 is located in the approximately central region of the foot part 10 of the housing 3 in alignment with the front of the device.
  • This combination switch 18 has a manually operated switch button 19 on the outside.
  • a first plunger 20 acts on the switch button 21 of an electrical switch 22, for example a limit switch.
  • the switch 22 in turn is electrically connected to the batteries or accumulators 16 by means of electrical lines 23 and 24 to their positive pole 25 and negative pole 26 via connecting terminals, not shown here.
  • switch 22 it is also possible, according to FIG. 5, to provide only two switching contacts 22.1 and 22.2, which are located at a distance from one another and made of electrically conductive material.
  • the plunger 20 of the combination switch 18 is pushed between the two switching contacts when actuated, as a result of which the switching contacts 22.1 and 22.2 are electrically connected to one another.
  • the lines to the batteries or accumulators 16 and to the drive motor 4 then go off again from the switch contacts 22.1 and 22.2.
  • a second plunger of the combination switch 18 is designed as a valve plunger 27 and provided with a valve plate 28, which is under the action of a compression spring 29.
  • the valve tappet 27 can be moved axially inside the valve housing 30 up to an end stop 31.
  • a sealing ring or an O-ring 32 is inserted between the valve plate 28 and the valve housing 30.
  • the valve housing has a radially outgoing opening 33 which is located in the rear end region of the valve housing.
  • a base piece 34 closes the valve housing 30 to the rear, an air gap being left between the valve housing 30 and the base piece 34 in the region of the opening 33.
  • the opening 33 is connected by means of a line 35 to an air inlet opening 36 in the intermediate piece 37, which in turn opens into the receptacle 7 for the spray liquid 2.
  • the intermediate piece 37 is pressed in liquid-tight manner within the coupling piece 17 and the nut 38 between the foot part 10 of the housing 3 and the receptacle 7.
  • a thread is provided on the outside of the upper connection piece 51 of the receptacle 7, onto which a nut 38 with a corresponding internal thread is screwed.
  • the nut 38 lies on the intermediate piece 37 with its upper, inwardly directed flange 52 in the sense of a union nut is pressed into the coupling piece 17 in such a way that the union nut 38 remains rotatable. In this way, the housing 10 with the units and connecting elements used liquid-tight and functional connected to the receptacle 7.
  • a hose connecting element 53 is fixed and in turn tightly fitted, to which on the one hand the suction line 39 leading into the receptacle 7 and at the other end the suction line 40 leading to the interior of the housing 3 to the pump 5 are connected.
  • the suction line 39 and the suction line 40 are preferably formed from an elastic material and, as a result, are flexible and easy to lay around assemblies.
  • the suction line 39 leading into the interior of the receptacle 7 is provided in its approximately middle or in the end region with a special shape which allows the elastically deformable material.
  • the shape is a helically shaped winding 41, from which a substantially unformed end piece 42 of the suction line 39 then extends to the bottom 43 of the receptacle 7.
  • the suction line 39 or 42 has a suction cup or a suction strainer 44, which is heavier than the liquid 2 to be removed and is therefore always inclined to the lowest point in the receptacle 7, regardless of the position of the receptacle 7 during its handling.
  • the suction basket or the suction strainer 44 can of course also be pressed directly into the winding.
  • the combination switch 18 there is a socket 48 in the base part 10 of the housing 3, which socket is electrically connected to the batteries 16 and allows the batteries 16 to be charged.
  • the suction line 39 or 42 is that the suction line follows all directions and all angles during the container movement. This is ensured by the fact that the suction line 39 consists of an elastically deformable material and in the approximately central or outlet-side area has at least one ring or arc formed essentially transversely to the longitudinal line axis 45 in a radius around this longitudinal line axis 45. Due to the shape angled transversely to the line longitudinal axis 45, the suction line 39 is deprived of the rigidity and instead is given a high degree of elastic mobility.
