Description
The invention relates to a wheeled case with the features of the preamble of claim 1. Such a wheeled case is known, for example, from EP-A-0 173 779, FIG. 6, in an embodiment with four wheels. A similar roller case is known from DE-GM 80 09 984, the bushings made of elastomer material sitting in holes in the case wall and being penetrated by the axes.
Trolley cases of the type described enable the user to pull (or push) the case on the ground without lifting it.
Although in the prior art and also in the present application only four-roller suitcases with this property are described, it is obvious that the property mentioned can also be achieved with three or more than four rollers.
Free rolling mobility of roller cases of the type described is not always desirable. For example, the suitcases on inclined conveyor belts, such as those used in air traffic, should not be able to move by themselves. Roller cases with braking devices have therefore also become known. An example is shown in EP-A-0 440 878. In this case, a brake shoe is attached to the front end of the case, which can be extended against the ground in the braking position via a spring-loaded lever linkage and can be brought into the brake release position by actuating a drawstring after passing a locking position.
The invention has for its object to provide a roller case of the type described above with a simple braking device.
Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe dient Anspruch 1.To solve this problem, claim 1.
In the roller case according to the invention, an additional brake shoe is completely dispensed with. The braking position is achieved exclusively by the interaction of the rollers with an inclined axis position with the associated recesses or a part, such as a brake pad, which is interchangeably fastened therein or elsewhere on the case. The invention takes advantage of this braking effect that the rollers are elastically supported by means of the bushings made of elastomer material, which allows the axes to be displaced relative to the elastomer material of the bushes in the unrestrained rolling position. This relative displacement is brought about by the tensioning device, which can be actuated by the user, for example via a drawstring.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the tensioning device is formed by a block and tackle, which allows a force / displacement dimensioning that is matched to the user requirements in a manner familiar to the person skilled in the art.
In the borderline case, it is sufficient if only one roller is configured in the manner according to the invention with an inclined axis position in a situation that is not influenced from the outside. Preferably, however, two rollers lying one behind the other in the direction of travel of the case are supported according to the invention and acted upon by a common tensioning device.
In principle, two rollers lying in the same axis position (front or rear) or all four rollers of a four-wheel roller case can be supported in the manner according to the invention. If you do it with just one jig wants to get along, one would then have to redirect the pull cord of the block and tackle over the hinge parting line of the two case halves, which is relatively expensive.
A special embodiment of a roller case according to the invention is protected in

8 anlaufen und somit gebremst sind.1 to 4 a shell case with four rollers is shown, of which only the front and
The
Fig. 3 und 4 zeigen die herausgezogene Position des Zugbandes, wobei die von dem Benutzer aufgebrachte Zugkraft unter Überwindung der Rückstellkraft der Buchsen 14, 16 die Rollen 2,4 in parallele Achsenlagen stellt, die mit den senkrecht zur Fahrtrichtung stehenden Achsen a bzw. b zusammenfallen, so daß die vordere Rolle 2 von der Stelle 22 an der Aussparung 6 und die hintere Rolle 4 von der Stelle 24 an der Aussparung 8 frei gekommen ist und beide Rollen in Fahrtrichtung frei abrollen können.3 and 4 show the pulled position of the drawstring, the tensile force applied by the user below Overcoming the restoring force of the
If the user releases the
In addition to the opposite inclination shown in FIG. 2, the
Außerdem kann der Bremsklotz 8' mit seiner Radkontaktfläche 11 genau an den Radumfang des Rades 4 angepaßt gestaltet sein, was ein Zusammenwirken von Radumfang und Radkontaktfläche 11 in einer großen, reproduzierbaren Fläche erlaubt.6, the roller 4 (and / or the roller 2, not shown) does not run directly on the recess 8 (and / or 6) but on a brake block 8 '(and / or 6') which is interchangeably fastened therein as long as the
