Abstract

Procédé et appareil d'application d'une matière protectrice polymère sur des articles (5) pour protéger ceux-ci contre les intempéries, la corrosion ou les contraintes mécaniques. Le procédé se déroule essentiellement en continu et consiste à extruder lorsqu'il se trouve à l'état déformable, un élément polymère ébauché (7) sous forme de bande ou de tube fendu(e) ou ayant la forme de deux bandes, à placer l'article (5) dans le chemin de l'élément ébauché, puis à utiliser des presses à compression (2a, 2b) pour serrer ledit élément ébauché autour dudit article.
