Abstract

A punch interacts with a forming subassembly comprising an anvil and a die protruding above the latter in order to connect sheets by bending without cutting. Between the anvil and the die there is a deep slot, which cannot be completely filled by the deformed sheet material and offers space for oil, a drive mechanism and the like.
