Description

The present invention relates generally to wiring accessories which, more particularly intended for the equipment of electrical conductors with conductive core formed of a plurality of strands, are to be attached to the previously stripped end of such a core conductive to make it easier and safer to connect to any terminal.

It can be either a terminal, comprising, specifically, for the connection to be established, an ear or a finger, as well as a simple end-piece, possibly provided with an insulating collar, ensuring directly by itself, with the conductive core end which it encloses, this connection.

In either case, the corresponding wiring accessory comprises a metal barrel to be crimped onto the end of the conductive core to be fitted, and it is therefore necessary, first of all, to attach it to the latter. .

Although it has long been proposed to make them in strings, the wiring accessories usually available today on the market are most commonly in bulk.

It is therefore necessary to take them one by one, on demand, in a container, and this operation, executed by hand, is all the more difficult to drive since, more often than not, it relates to wiring accessories having by them - even fairly small dimensions.

In any event, this operation is inevitably generating a loss of time, and it can also be the cause of a non-negligible loss of wiring accessories, if, when they are grasped, they come to escape.

The present invention generally relates to a distributor capable of facilitating the installation of a wiring accessory on the end of the conductive core that it must equip and leading in addition to other advantages.

In the general form of an elongated plate, and comprising, projecting, on a sole, on the one hand, a bar, which extends, transversely, only over a width less than that of the sole, and which, parallel to said sole, has, longitudinally, running over its entire length, a groove, and, on the other hand, opposite the longitudinal edge of said bar on which its groove opens, parallel to said longitudinal edge, and at distance from the latter, a strip, this distributor is generally characterized in that it has, transversely, at one of the ends of the strip, on an extension of the sole, a cradle suitable for the reception of a wiring accessory, with, extending longitudinally in cantilever from the bar, above said cradle, and at a distance therefrom, a finger suitable for retaining this accessory wiring when such a wiring accessory is present in said cradle.

If desired, the distributor according to the invention can be implemented in isolation, as such, in particular when the wiring accessories to be laid are initially loose, or when, arranged in a chain, they are easily detachable, by simple tearing, of such a rosary.

It is then advantageously possible to load it, in advance, for example in the workshop, with wiring accessories to be laid.

Through its distribution function, it then advantageously facilitates the installation of these wiring accessories, to the benefit of saving time for the corresponding operation.

The necessary handling does not relate to the wiring accessory itself, but to the distributor, which is easier to handle, in particular because it is of larger dimensions, which contains it.

In this case, the finger provided for this purpose retains advantageously, one by one, each of the wiring accessories, when such a wiring accessory reaches the underlying cradle.

But the dispenser according to the invention can also serve as an adapter charger for a dispenser which, such as that which is the subject of another application filed on the same day, has, itself, crimping jaws suitable for crimping a wiring accessory once it is engaged with the end of the conductive core to be fitted.

In such a case, the finger provided for this purpose ensures, as previously, the retention of the wiring accessory present in the underlying cradle, either that, coming from a bulk, this wiring accessory is presented in isolation, or that, initially belonging to a chain, that a cutting blade provided for this purpose in one of the crimping jaws allows to detail the unit, it is the last of this chain.

As illustrated in dashed lines in these figures, the wiring accessories 10 to be installed are wiring end pieces comprising, in addition to a metal barrel 11 intended to be engaged on the end 12 previously stripped of the conductive core 13 of the electrical conductor 14 to be fitted, a flange made of insulating material 15, intended, for its part, to engage on the insulating sheath 16 thereof.

According to the invention, a distributor 17 is used to install such a wiring accessory 10.

In the embodiment shown, this dispenser 17 is in the general form of an elongated plate, and, more precisely, generally parallelepiped.

It comprises, projecting from a sole 22, on the one hand, a bar 23, which extends transversely only over a width L1 less than that L2 of the sole 22, and which, parallel to said sole 22, has, longitudinally, running over its entire length, a groove 24, and, on the other hand, opposite the longitudinal edge of said strip 23 on which its groove 24 opens, parallel to said longitudinal edge, and at a distance from it ci, a strip 25.

In the embodiment shown, the strip 25, which extends at the edge of one of the longitudinal sides of the sole 22, has, with respect to the lower surface thereof, a height H2 less than that H1 of the bar 23, itself established on the edge of the longitudinal side of the sole 22 opposite the previous one.

The distributor 17 thus generally formed has, transversely, at one end of the strip 23, on an extension 26 of the sole 22, a cradle 27 suitable for receiving a wiring accessory 10, with, extending longitudinally in overhang from the strip 23, above this cradle 27, and at a distance therefrom, a finger 28 suitable for retaining a wiring accessory 10 when such a wiring accessory 10 is present in this cradle 27.

In practice, this finger 28 extends from that, 30, of the lips of the bar 23 which is the farthest from the sole 22.

In practice, too, it extends only slightly beyond the axis of the cradle 27, so as not to oppose too much the disengagement, relative to the latter, of the wiring accessory 10 which is present.

In FIG. 3, the trace of the transverse plane P containing the axis A of this cradle 27 has been shown diagrammatically by a broken line.

The wiring accessories 10 to be distributed being end pieces, the cradle 27 is stepped, with a portion of smaller cross section 27 ′, which, with the dimensions of the barrel 11 of such a end piece, is established in line with the bar 23, and a portion of larger cross section 27˝, which, to the dimensions of the collar of insulating material 15, is established in line with the free portion 32 of the sole 22, that is to say in line with the portion of this sole 22 which extends between the bar 23 and the strip 25.

Preferably, and as shown, the cradle 27 is preceded by an inclined face 33.

Like the cradle 27, this inclined face 33 is stepped in the embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 5, with a part 33 ′ to the right of the part of least cross section 27 ′ of the cradle 27, and a part 33˝ to the right of the larger cross-section portion 27˝ of this cradle 27.

In line with the cradle 27, the strip 25, which extends over the entire length of the sole 22, has a notch 34.

In the embodiment shown, this notch 34 is generally semi-cylindrical.

Preferably, and as shown, this notch 34 is bordered by a notch cutting the strip 25.

Preferably also, and as shown, that, at least, 30, of the lips of the groove 24 of the bar 23 which is furthest from the sole 22 has its free edge bevelled by a chamfer 36 over its entire length, and it is the same for finger 28 which extends it.

In the embodiment shown, only this lip 30 is thus bevelled by such a chamfer.

But, as a variant, the other, 37, of the lips of the groove 24 of the bar 23 can, as well, if desired, have its free edge bevelled by a chamfer over its entire length.

The free portion 32 of the sole 22 has, longitudinally, projecting, on its surface from which also project the bar 23 and the strip 25, at least one notch carried by an elastically deformable tongue 40.

In the embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 5, there are thus, duly staggered at a distance from each other, two elastically deformable tongues 40, and the corresponding notch is formed by the end, raised, d such an elastically deformable tongue 40.

To facilitate handling of the dispenser 17 when it constitutes an adapter charger, its sole 22 also includes, at its end opposite the cradle 27, an extension 41, which, in practice, forms a simple tongue.

Unlike the extension 26, the strip 25 does not extend over this extension 41.

Finally, at their end opposite to the cradle 27, the bar 23 and the sole 22 each have, respectively, in the embodiment shown, interlocking means, such as projections or housings, suitable for cooperating with snap-fitting with complementary interlocking means, housings or protrusions.

For the bar 23, the projection 42 comes directly in one piece from its longitudinal section opposite the strip 25, this projection 42 being disposed in the immediate vicinity of the edge formed by this longitudinal section with the surface opposite to the sole 22 .

For the strip 25, the projection 42 extends at the end of a finger 43, to be level with the previous projection 42.

On its back, the sole 22 has, finally, in the embodiment shown, at a distance from the elastically deformable tongues 40, but projecting from the surface of this sole 22 opposite to that on which these elastically deformable tongues 40 protrude, two elastically deformable lamellae 44 defining, jointly, between them, extending transversely, a housing 45.

For reasons of molding convenience, these elastically deformable strips 44, like the above elastically deformable tongues 40, extend along the edge of recesses affecting the sole 22 from one side.

For reasons, also, of convenience of molding, the bar 23 and the sole 22 belong, each respectively, to separate flaps 47, 48, suitably made integral with one another.

In addition to the sole 22, the flap 48 includes the strip 25.

As for the cradle 27, it is shared between the two flaps 47, 48 in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, with its part of smaller cross section 27 ′ on the flap 47 and its part of larger cross section 27 ˝ on flap 48.

In practice, the flap 47 relates to a portion 49 of the sole 22 whose surface is slightly set back by relative to that of its free portion 32, being separated from the latter by a shoulder 50.

In practice, also, the flaps 47 and 48 are articulated to each other by a hinge line 52 which extends along the edge of the sole 22 opposite to that along which extends the strip. 25.

Thus, and as shown in FIG. 5, the distributor 17 can be molded with a mold without a drawer, while being in a configuration for which its flap 47 is raised substantially perpendicular to its flap 48.

After such molding, it suffices to fold the flap 47 against the flap 48 and to secure it to the latter.

In the embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 5, the corresponding connection is made by simple bonding, one and / or the other of the flaps 47, 48 may if desired include, in hollow, for this purpose, one or several housings, not shown, suitable for installing glue dots.

It can, moreover, as well result from a welding, whether it is for example a high frequency welding, an ultrasonic welding, a welding with a hot tip, or other.

As a variant, in FIG. 6, it results from a snap-fastening, the flap 47 having, for example, from place to place, hooks 53 by which it can snap into place, in the very thickness of the sole 22 of the flap 48, on notches 54 provided for this purpose, by means of recesses, on this sole 22.

Anyway, when the flaps 47, 48 thus constituting the distributor 17 are applied to each other, it suffices, for its use, to engage, at one of its ends, in the groove 24 of the bar 23 constituting its flap 47, and as shown diagrammatically in broken lines in FIG. 1, the wiring accessories 10 to be distributed, this groove 24 opening longitudinally at both of its ends.

Of course, the arrangements are such that the width of this groove 24 corresponds to the diameter of the metal barrel 11 of these wiring accessories 10, and that the distance separating from the bar 23 the strip 25 corresponds to the height of its collar made of insulating material. 15.

As indicated above, the dispenser 17 according to the invention can be used in isolation, as such.

It suffices for the operator to push his wiring accessories 10 with his thumb, in favor of the free space which, existing between its bar 23 and its strip 25, gives access to their insulating collar 15, up to that, crossing the inclined face 33, the first of these wiring accessories 10 reaches the cradle 27.

It is there, then, suitably retained by finger 28.

It suffices, finally, for the operator, to engage, in the wiring accessory 10 thus present in this cradle 27, by the end 12, previously stripped, of its conductive core 13, the electrical conductor 14 to be fitted, as shown by arrow F in Figure 1.

When disengaged from the distributor 17, this electrical conductor 14 then carries with it the wiring accessory 10 in which it has thus been previously engaged.

But, as also already indicated above, the dispenser 17 according to the invention can just as easily serve as an adapter charger for a dispenser which, such as that which is the subject of another patent application filed on the same day, has, at the end of two handles, one of which, forming a magazine, is capable of receiving it, crimping jaws.

The external dimensions of the dispenser according to the invention are then adapted to the internal dimensions of the corresponding magazine handle.

Jointly, the projections 42 which it comprises then cooperate by snap-fastening with recesses provided in a complementary manner to this effect on this handle forming a store, while a loop, articulated to the latter, engages, in order to consolidate the retention, in the housing 45 which, on the back of its sole 22, its elastically deformable lamellae 44.

The dispenser 17 according to the invention can advantageously act as an adapter with respect to such a dispenser with crimping jaws.

Indeed, while presenting, externally, the same dimensions, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 7, these dimensions being adapted, as indicated above, to the internal dimensions of the handle forming the magazine of this distributor with crimping jaws, its internal dimensions may correspond, at least within a certain range, to various different sizes possible for the wiring accessories 10 to be distributed.

Preferably, these wiring accessories are then presented in a chain.

As is easy to understand, the elastically deformable tongues 40 which it comprises are elastically erased with each passage of a wiring accessory 10 during the advance of such a chain while opposing any retrograde movement of it.

As is also easy to understand, when the distributor 17 according to the invention is thus used as an adapter charger for a distributor with crimping jaws, the tongue formed by the extension 41 of its sole 22 advantageously facilitates removal, when, after exhausting the wiring accessories 10 which it initially contained, it should be changed, or when it is necessary to change from one wiring accessory size to another size.

In the alternative embodiment shown in Figures 8, 9, the cradle 27 is carried by the single flap 48, with just a notch 27 ‴, in its extension, on the flap 47; a cutaway 56 affects obliquely, to facilitate the passage of the barrel 12 of a nozzle, by tilting from the latter, the end of the edge of the part of least cross section 27 ′ of this cradle 27 close to the bar 23, at the outlet of the groove 24 thereof; the part 33˝ of the inclined face 33 is eliminated, the corresponding part 27˝ of the cradle 27 being reduced to a quarter-cylinder surface established along the corresponding transverse end of the free portion 32 of the sole 22; thus, only the portion of least cross section 27 ′ of the cradle 27 is preceded by an inclined face 33; the finger 28 is thinned, which advantageously gives it a certain elasticity; the strip 25 has a notch 57 which deepens in the direction of the cradle 27, to facilitate the advancement to the inch of the wiring accessories 10; this notch 57 is preceded by a notch 58 capable of serving as a reference on the position of the most advanced wiring accessories 10; and, the elastically deformable tongues 40 being straight, the notch which they comprise is formed by a bead projecting at their end.

Of course, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown, but it encompasses any variant.

Claims (17)

1. Distributor for wiring accessory, characterized in that, being in the general form of an elongated plate, and comprising, projecting from a sole (22), on the one hand, a bar (23), which does not extends, transversely, that over a width (L1) less than that (L2) of the sole (22), and which, parallel to said sole (22), has, longitudinally, running over its entire length, a groove (24 ), and, on the other hand, facing the longitudinal edge of said strip (23) onto which its groove (24) opens, parallel to said longitudinal edge, and at a distance therefrom, a strip (25), it has, transversely, at one end of the bar (23), on an extension (26) of the sole (22), a cradle (27) suitable for receiving a wiring accessory (10), with, extending longitudinally in overhang from the bar (23), above said cradle (27), and at a distance therefrom, a finger (28) suitable for retaining a wiring accessory (10) when such a wiring accessory (10) is present in said cradle (27). 2. Distributor according to claim 1, characterized in that the finger (28) that comprises the bar (23) extends from that (30) of its lips which is the furthest from the sole (22). 3. Distributor according to any one of claims 1, 2, characterized in that the finger (28) that comprises the bar (23) extends only slightly beyond the axis of the cradle (27). 4. Dispenser according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cradle (27) is stepped, with a part of lesser cross section (27 ′) in line with the bar (23), and a part of larger cross section (27˝) in line with the free portion (32) of the sole (22). 5. Distributor according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that a part at less of the cradle (27) is preceded by an inclined face (33). 6. Distributor according to claims 4 and 5, taken together, characterized in that the inclined face (33) is also stepped. 7. Distributor according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that, in line with the cradle (27), the strip (25) has a notch (34). 8. Distributor according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that that (30), at least, of the lips of the groove (24) of the bar (23) which is the furthest from the sole (22 ) has its free edge bevelled by a chamfer (36) over its entire length. 9. Distributor according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the free portion (32) of the sole (22) has, longitudinally, projecting, at least one notch carried by an elastically deformable tongue (40) . 10. Distributor according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that, at its end opposite to the cradle (27), the sole (22) also has an extension (41). 11. Distributor according to any one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that, at their end opposite to the cradle (27), at least, the bar (23) and the sole (22) each comprise means respectively socket (42), such as protrusions or housings, suitable for cooperating in snap-fit with interlocking means, housings or protrusions, complementary. 12. Dispenser according to any one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the bar (23) and the sole (22) belong, each respectively, to separate flaps (47, 48) made integral with one of the 'other. 13. Distributor according to claim 12, characterized in that the two flaps (47, 48) are articulated to each other by a hinge line (52) which extends along the edge of the sole (22) opposite to that along which extends the strip (25). 14. Distributor according to any one of claims 12, 13, characterized in that the cradle (27) is shared between the flaps (47, 48). 15. Distributor according to any one of claims 12, 13, characterized in that the cradle (27) is carried by the flap (48) of which the sole (22) belongs. 16. Distributor according to any one of claims 12 to 15, characterized in that the two flaps (47, 48) are integral with one another by gluing or welding. 17. Distributor according to any one of claims 12 to 15, characterized in that the two flaps (47, 48) are integral with one another by snap-fastening.
