Abstract

The dishwasher has a spraying system which is fed with cleaning liquid from a collection trough, which has a water inlet valve, by means of a circulation pump, driven by an electric motor. Means are provided for measuring the current input and/or the capacitor voltage and/or the rotational speed of the electric motor or of the liquid pressure and/or the flow rate in the spraying system or the noise level or the vibrations of the machine, which means cause the water inlet valve to close after a minimum filling level of the collection trough has been reached and a uniform measuring value has been obtained. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a dishwasher with a spray system, which is fed with cleaning liquid by means of a circulation pump driven by an electric motor from a collecting trough having a water inlet valve. In such dishwashers there are general efforts to keep the water consumption, on which at the same time the amount of energy required to heat the water, as low as possible. A lower water supply also has an advantageous effect on the machine's noise level.

In known dishwashers, their water filling is determined either by using level switches or a regulating nozzle in the solenoid valve over the running-in time. However, both systems only allow the machine in each case to supply a predetermined amount of water, which, however, does not correspond to the optimal value, but rather is too large. The reason for this is that a safety margin has to be added in order to only allow the cavitation in the circulation pump, which is associated with unpleasant working noises, which occurs whenever water mixed with air to be conveyed by it, only to occur when the machine is started to be avoided during normal operation.

From the above-mentioned points of view, the object of the invention is to make a dishwasher available, the water supply of which is regulated in such a way that there is only as much cleaning liquid in the collecting pan as is necessary, so that the circulation pump is largely free of air and therefore noiseless is working.

The solution to the problem is evident from the claims and from the circuit diagrams of FIGS. 1-4, which together with FIG. 5 show several exemplary embodiments of the invention. 6 - 9 also show measurement diagrams of a conventional dishwasher, which provide evidence that the determination of the stable operating state of the circulation pump and, at the same time, the determination of the required one Amount of water in the machine is possible in the sense of the claimed measures

As can be seen from the measurement diagrams in FIGS. 6-9, the operating behavior of the circulation pump during the water inlet can always be seen in the same way. The pump initially runs empty until there are irregular pressure and load surges when the collection tank reaches a certain minimum fill. Only after the pump has completely filled does a condition without performance fluctuations and consequently a stable running behavior appear. This can be clearly measured in various ways, namely via the current consumption or the capacitor voltage of the pump motor, the liquid pressure in the spray system, but also the motor speed, the flow speed of the conveyed cleaning liquid or the noise level or the vibrations of the machine, in the diagrams by a dash-dotted vertical line identified best possible operating point can then be used to close the water inlet valve, so that you can get by with a significantly smaller amount of water than they are currently agree and is therefore common.

According to the diagrams in FIGS. 6 - 9, the stable state not only occurs at the same point regardless of the measuring method involved, but it also depends on whether only water is used or different detergents are used. In this way, additional water and energy can be saved in that the amount of water in the individual rinse cycles can be precisely adapted to the changing consistency of the cleaning liquid. In any case, the closing of the water inlet valve, which, in contrast to the prior art, can be a very simple inlet valve, is initiated at the right time, which means that the dishwasher according to the invention has both the lowest possible water and energy requirements and is capable of doing so is to work quieter.
