Abstract

Stretcher composed of several lengths assembled in a chosen polygonal shape, characterised in that the said lengths consist of mouldings (10, 12, 14) possessing at least one longitudinal groove (20) along one of their edges, said groove being capable of taking a border of a canvas (28) placed over said stretcher, and a tensioning device (26) of elongate form, running right the way round the perimeter of the stretcher and wedged in said groove (20). <IMAGE>
