Abstract

Après une étape de refroidissement intense au moyen d'une couche continue de liquide de refroidissement sous pression formée à sa surface, on applique au produit métallique au moins une étape de refroidissement modéré au moyen d'un liquide de refroidissement assurant un coefficient d'échange de chaleur inférieur ou égal à 50 % du coefficient d'échange de chaleur de l'étape de refroidissement intense. Ce refroidissement modéré est de préférence réalisé dans de l'eau relativement calme à une température comprise entre 25°C et 60°C.
