Abstract

A faucet assembly has a wall plate having a pair of outlet ports adapted to be connected to hot- and cold-water supplies, a faucet having an end formed with inlet ports, and an adapter. The adapter has a pair of relatively telescoping parts formed with a pair of throughgoing passages extending between the parts. One of the parts is adapted to fit with the plate over the outlet ports thereof and the other part is adapted to fit with the faucet over the inlet ports thereof. Screws braced between the parts can relatively axially telescope same steplessly.

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Anschlußvorrichtung für eine Warm- und Kaltwassermischarmatur mit den im Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 angegebenen Merkmalen. Eine derartige Anschlußvorrichtung ist aus der DE-A-23 24 023 bekannt. Zur Anpassung der Vorstehlänge der Mischarmatur aus der Gebäudewand ist bei der bekannten Anschlußvorrichtung vorgesehen, daß Zwischenstücke von unterschiedlicher Länge zwischen der Mischarmatur und dem Anschlußstück einsetzbar sind. Mit diesen Zwischenstücken ist jedoch nur eine stufenweise Veränderung der Vorstehlänge möglich.
Außerdem wird die nicht vorveröffentlichte EP-A-0309397 als Stand der Technik nach Artikel 54 (3) EPÜ genannt.

Konzentrisch im Zwischenstück 2 ist eine Befestigungsschraube 24 angeordnet, die durch beide Teile des Zwischenstücks 2 hindurchgreift und in eine Gewindebohrung 12 des Anschlußstücks 1 einschraubbar ist. Parallel neben der Befestigungsschraube 24, senkrecht zur Verbindungsachse der beiden Bohrungen 11 (Figur 3), ist jeweils eine Distanzschraube 23 mit Gewinde im stromabwärts gelegenen Teil des Zwischenstücks 2 angeordnet. Die Distanzschrauben 23 sind dabei in ihrer Länge so bemessen, daß sie bei voll eingeschraubter Distanzschraube 23 die maximal mögliche Verlängerung des Zwischenstücks 2 bewirken. Danach, wenn die Gebäudewand verputzt und eventuell verfliest ist, wird über das Zwischenstück 2 die Hülse 4 übergestreift, wobei eine Schulter 41 an einem Bund 25 des Zwischenstücks 2 zur Anlage gelangt und das Zwischenstück 2 lose mit der Befestigungsschraube 24 an dem Anschlußstück 1 gehaltert wird. Nunmehr kann mit den Distanzschrauben 23 die Länge des Zwischenstücks 2 justiert werden. Sobald die richtige Länge eingestellt ist, kann dann mit der Befestigungsschraube 24 das Zwischenstück 2 dicht und fest mit dem Anschlußstück 1 verbunden werden. Nunmehr wird die Mischarmatur 3 gegen die vorstehende Stirnseite des Zwischenstücks 2 geführt, wobei vorher noch die Rosette 5 über die Armatur 3 übergestreift worden ist. Nunmehr kann die Hülse 4 gegen den Bund 25 des Zwischenstücks 2 gebracht werden, wobei zwei Radialzapfen 42 der Hülse 4 in entsprechende Schlitze 31 der Mischarmatur 3 einfassen und durch eine kurze Verdrehung die dichte und feste Verbindung der Mischarmatur 3 mit dem Zwischenstück 2 hergestellt wird. Danach kann die Rosette 5 auf die äußere zylindrische Mantelfläche 43 der Hülse 4 aufgeschoben werden, so daß die Öffnung in der Gebäudewand 6 zum Anschlußstück 1 dicht abgeschlossen ist. Zur dichten Anpressung an die Gebäudewand können Spannschrauben 51 vorgesehen sein.
Anstatt der Bajonettverbindung von dem Zwischenstück 2 mit der Mischarmatur 3 kann selbstverständlich auch eine Überwurfmutterverschraubung etc. eingesetzt werden.

Claims (5)

  1. Connecting device for a hot and cold water mixer fitting (3) having a connecting piece (1) which is arranged in or on the wall (6) of the building and has bores for at least two piping connections, from which there branch off in a transverse direction bores (11) for the connection of the mixer fitting (3), an intermediate member (2) being provided to adapt the length of projection of the mixer fitting (3) out of the building wall (6), characterised in that
    - the intermediate member (2) consists of two parts which are axially adjustable with respect to each other and the distance (26) between which is continuously adjustable within a limited range by means of one or two spacer screws (23);
    - coaxially with each of the bores (11), in one part of the intermediate member (2) a connecting sleeve (21) with sealing ring (211) is formed, which in each case is arranged so as to be axially displaceable in a cylinder bore (22) of the other part;
    - one or two spacer screws (23) are arranged on one or both sides of the bores (11), and a fixing screw (24) to fix the intermediate member (2) to the connecting piece (1) is provided concentrically through the intermediate member (2).
  2. Connecting device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the two parts of the intermediate member (2) which are brought by the spacer screws to a predetermined distance from each other are simultaneously secured in this position by the fixing screw (24).

  5. Connecting device according to at least one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that on the upstream end face of the intermediate member (2), tubular projections (271) are formed which engage in the bores (11) of the connecting piece (1) to prevent twisting.
