Abstract

A wide roll-on dispenser has a fluid reservoir (12) and an applicator roller (18) mounted in a housing (16) with a valve mechanism (14) therebetween to control the flow of fluid from the reservoir (12) to the roller (18), the valve mechanism (14) being operated by movement of the housing (16) with respect to the reservoir (12). In a preferred arrangement the housing is moved to operate the valve mechanism by applying and removing an overcap (20).
