Description
The invention relates to a method for the remediation of contaminated sites according to the preamble of
In order to clean up contaminated sites, a method is already known (DE-PS 33 30 897), in which landfills are enclosed with the aid of a hydraulic clearing and injection device.
However, this method, which is very well-proven per se, does not make it possible to extract a contaminated soil at a targeted point, to effectively remove the adhering pollutants, and then to deposit the cleaned soil again in the remediated site.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a method and a device by means of which the contaminated soil is effectively removed and replaced by cleaned soil. At the same time, this should decontaminate the soil air.
The invention is also based on the object to design the method and the device in such a way that the effectiveness of the transport of the fine soil constituents still containing the pollutants to the cleaning system is further increased, while at the same time ensuring a satisfactory tightness of the Transport system. In addition, the possibilities for pollutant degradation, especially when removing the contaminated soil, should be increased.
The method created according to the invention achieves this object with the features of
The device created according to the invention for carrying out this method is characterized by the features of
The method according to the invention makes an important contribution to the remediation of landfills and contaminated sites. This consists in washing the contaminated soil with the aid of a high-pressure rinsing and cutting jet and thereby largely freed of toxins.
The flushed and pre-cleaned fine-grained soil portion is conveyed back to the surface for post-treatment, while the coarse portion of the soil remains in the treatment area.
In the field of high-pressure technology, a cutting and injection device is already known (DE-OS 36 44 766). However, this only serves to remove a portion of the soil from its natural composite from a non-load-bearing floor and to replace it with a support body made from tracked solids.
In contrast, however, such a cutting device known per se is used in the method according to the invention for the advantageous pre-cleaning of the contaminated soil which is still taking place in the soil itself. The fine-grained floor part of the flushed and pre-cleaned floor is in freed from the remaining pollutants in a cleaning system and flushed back into the borehole with the addition of binding agents, for example cement. There a stable soil structure is formed from the cleaned fine portion of the soil mixed with the binder together with the cleaned rough portion remaining in the soil including water.
The process according to the invention has the further advantage that the cutting device can also be used to clean the floor of gaseous poisons. In an embodiment of the method according to the invention, this can be achieved by adding air and / or gas to the injection means of the rinsing and cutting jet.
The pre-cleaning of the floor can be further increased by adding hot water and / or steam to the injection means of the rinsing and cutting jet. This can significantly increase the degree of decontamination.
Another particular advantage of the method according to the invention is that all processes for decontaminating the floor can be checked and regulated by a measuring and control system.
The invention has the further advantage that the decontamination process can be continued until the intended degree of decontamination of the floor is reached with its full load-bearing capacity.
By designing the device according to the invention, it is possible with the help of the high-pressure rinsing and cutting jet, which is contaminated with pollutants Detach soil from its bandage and thus initiate the process of detoxification.
The process of flushing out the pollutants can be intensified by adding air and / or gas, for which purpose corresponding connections are provided in the line system of the high-pressure pump driving the cutting device.
A further advantage of removing the pollutants according to the invention is that connections for hot water and / or steam are provided in the line system of the high-pressure pump driving the cutting device.
The success of the method according to the invention can be guaranteed by the measuring and control system provided in the device. With the help of this system it is possible to check, register and regulate the degree of decontamination at any time.
Finally, the method and the device according to the invention have the significant advantage that they can also be used under existing buildings, with full maintenance of the building structure.
According to the invention, the effectiveness of the transport of the already pre-cleaned soil, which still contains contaminants, to the cleaning system can be effectively increased by placing the preventer arranged in the backflow under suction to draw in the pollutants. Such a preventer, as is known, is a gas and watertight borehole closure with a device for rod passage and a closable, adjustable opening. This negative pressure generated and maintained in the preventer provides, in addition to the transport aid provided, the further significant advantage that the fine portion of the through-passed through Soil contained in gaseous state Pollutants are kept inside the preventer and cannot escape into the atmosphere outside, but instead are fed to the cleaning system together with the fine soil content that has passed through. In this way, the desired occupational and emission protection is ensured at any time.
This method according to the invention is accomplished simply by means of the device provided according to the invention in that a vacuum pump is connected to the preventer arranged in the backflow. This constantly sucks in the pollutants, so that the construction site personnel and the environment are protected from the pollutants still contained in the fine soil fraction.
In addition to this measure according to the invention or instead, it is possible in a further embodiment of the invention to further increase or improve the breakdown of the pollutants. This is done by using so-called. Biomass, which is added to the line system for the rinsing and cutting jet via a corresponding connection, so that it is thereby possible for the contaminated soil mass released by the rinsing and cutting jet to be uniform with the biomass to the predetermined desired extent to mix. This biomass consists essentially of microorganisms which are adapted to the pollutants to be degraded in the contaminated soil, in such a way that the pollutants in question are broken down or converted and thereby destroyed in the desired manner.
In a further embodiment of the invention, it is also possible to add the biomass to the cleaned soil shortly before or during its backwashing into the borehole, this addition being possible in addition to the addition of biomass to the rinsing and cutting jet or instead.
This admixture of biomass to the cleaned soil is expediently carried out via an additional line which connects the connection for the addition of biomass to the pipe system for returning the cleaned soil into the borehole.
- Fig. 2 eine abgewandelte Ausführungsform hiervon.
- Fig. 1 The method and the device in a schematic representation, partly in longitudinal section, and
- Fig. 2 shows a modified embodiment thereof.
As can be seen from FIG. 1, a vertical or otherwise
In the
The
As can be seen, the
As can also be seen from the drawing, connections for
Finally, a measuring and
The modified embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from that according to FIG. 1 inter alia in that a
In addition, a connection for the addition of
